I've heard this red paint micromanagement rumor thrown around, biutI have yet to hear what source it came from. Any idea?

 

Nice to see Prowl is coming pretty much unchanged from his Takara release. Since I already have the import I'll be passing however. This gives me hope that we'll see the other cars, but it's discouraging that their price is pretty much the same as importing. That was the only saving grace of going with TRU. Why buy from them when I can have it for the same price shipped to my door, 1 year earlier?

apparently they create listings for items to be released during the year and keep them unpublished to the public untill further notice.

 

Hasbro had nothing to do with those boxes.

Takara designed them FOR Hasbro

 

Why would Takara design packaging for Hasbro? When has that ever happened? They handle toys, not how Hasbro chooses to market them for its customers in the East or West.

In fact, part of the old anecdote on the designing of Energon Wing Saber was that Takara had to be sure the figure's size would be compatible with the packaging style Hasbro chose to use for the line. They have no control in how Hasbro packages things.

 

That's really splitting hairs, man. Doesn't matter who did or didn't design it; as long as Hasbro are using it for their releases, then yeah, they are indeed "Hasbro boxes".

 

I don't care if they were designed by a pig with diarrhea, they still make me want to buy them.

Never an inconvenience - I'm just a stickler for making sure we know where things come from. Wouldn't be the first time something has popped up via a store computer find - I remember in the grand days of Revenge of the Fallen when someone here found official pictures of the entire toyline, five waves or something like that, all in Walmart's online product image library, all months before anyone even knew half of those toys were coming.

 

Glad I held out. Now to preorder at TRU.com

 

I really hope HASBRO releases Silverstreak.
