Are the production processes the same? Yes. But are the products the same? Not usually. Which gives more or less opportunity for issues. Also, are you sure the quality inspectoin process is the same for both companies? TakaraTomy has been known to open and reseal products to check batches for defects - does Hasbro do the same?
All the future TRU MP releases will be boxed like Acid Storm and Soundwave. TRU stated last year that they wanted to model their MP releases after Takara's, for a more "collectors orientated" box/experience. For the record and before anyone complains YOTH Optimus is NOT concentered an "official" Hasbro MP release. It's just YOTH Optimus Prime.
Proof or just speculation? I have yet to see an official statement from a reliable source on this; just here say.

My post was in response to the staytement that Takara version toys get more QC inspections than Hasbro version toys
We know that for a fact due to the re-taping of boxes - there would be no other logical reason this phenomenon would be happening. And we know from TakaraTomy themselves and suppliers that this specifically happend with Encore Fortress Maximus. So no, it isn't hearsay. Hearsay is extrapolating a 50/50 quality control issue responsibility split from blanket comments about using the same facilities and projecting it as fact. If you've been around long enough you know there are many more cases of issues with Hasbro toys than TakaraTomy, just the way it is. So unlike some, I would logically assume despite the fact the factories may be the same, the processes, including quality control, are likely not.
I will get prowl and maybe the jet if it is in the 60 dollar rang. If it is in the 80 dollar range like the last jet from try then I am out on the jet then. The two pack I will just have to see a review on before I would purchase.
Man I hope Nissan let's Hasbro release Prowl unlike Lamborginhi that did not allow Hasbro to release Sideswipe/Lambor/Alert/Red Alert.
What evidence do you have that Lamborghini didnt allow hasbro to release any of the Lambo TFs? This is the first I am hearing of such an assertion...
TRU Exclusives are typically good news, although the hunt can be extreme at times. hopefully these hit closer to home than having to travel 1+ hrs. for satisfaction, although that is the thrill of the hunt isnt it... just not a fan of the local TRUs not keeping shelves current enough
Thanks for the info. Still not gonna stop me from getting Sunstorm or any other future MP releases. Personally, I'm just worried about space in storing those huge boxes.
He's not actually been confirmed yet, but since none* of the other MPs have been in multipacks, there's no reason to think he would be either. *aside from soundwave, for obvious reasons
Since Sunstorm has not actually been confirmed yet, does that mean that we may get lucky and have a Hasbro version of MP-11 Starscream instead as a TRU exclusive? Or am I reading too much into this?
