I'll be happy with any. Unless there is a huge difference between versions.

The Hasbro version of MP Thundercracker is beautiful. The MP-11 redesign imprves the robot legs and gets right of the side kibble. Skywarp did not get this release, so the only ones for him are either the Walmart (Hasbro) edition or Takara. I wish I could be of more help, but that's as far as I know so far.

^I agree wholeheartedly agree with Sportimus re: Thundercracker (and just the new mold in general). I already owned the original 3 MP seekers and resisted the new mold for the longest time, but caught new 'Cracker during a TRU sale and he is outstanding.

Blows him out of the water in every single area, just look at the proportions/legs/head-sizing/lack-of-hip-kibble/everything!

I'm still too cheap to spring for MP-11 Starscream though :confused2

You should be able to find both on EBay pretty easily, somewhere around the $100 price range. IIRC, I paid about 80 for Skywarp and 95 for mp-11 Thundercracker misb fairly recently.

Skywarp will probably be the easiest and cheapest to find- I got him MISB for $40 a few years ago. He's of the original MP mold, however, but his colors are good and it's still a very good toy. The Hasbro Thundercracker is easily the better of the two in terms of look and mold, but he'll run you more in the $100+ range.

Hasbro Skywarp MISB tends to go for about 80-100; loose ones can go from 40-60ish. Thundercracker can be found a little cheaper, due to it still be a relatively new item.

TakaraTomy's Skywarp and Thundercracker once went for a hefty amount, but have since cooled off a bit. Skywarp sealed will go for around 120-160 sealed. Thundercracker is still able to hang round the 300 mark, with a range of 250-300ish, as it's one of the harder Masterpieces to come by. MIB Skywarp will go for about 100-120, and Thundercracker doesn't really drop a whole lot whether it's sealed or opened.

These are averages that I've gotten from recent completed eBay searches, as you can certainly find some deals for any of these figures :)

If you're going to display them loose, I would suggest just getting a loose Hasbro Skywarp and use him as a placeholder while waiting for the MP-11 version to come out

Honestly get whichever version of Thundercracker you can find cheapest. people rave about the MP-11 remolds because its the hot new thing but it doesn't actually make any major earthshattering improvements to the mold. Of course that's just my two cents.

Yea, the big thing is the "hip Kibble" but if you are displaying them robot mode on a stand like they are hovering it is super easy to pop off the sides of the tail end and put them on the legs in robot mode. Then you have a close representation of the new model Seeker. It won't be able to stand in robot mode without modding it, but for Skywarp in particular I would go this route and save some money. It really is a great figure and jet mode is beautiful.

Apart from those unposable bricks he has for feet. Ironically the best looking MP11 mould is the one that isn't out yet.....

Maybe I'm biased with Skywarp being my favourite seeker :)

I disagree with this. I feel the MP-11 mold is far superior. But I suppose it depends on what you want out of your MP collection.

If your goal is (mostly) cartoon accuracy, then you want to go with the MP-11 mold. Everything from MP-10 onward has been designed to bring the G1 Transformers world to life on your shelf. This includes aesthetic choices (cartoon accuracy with homages to the toys and real world vehicles in the case of the cars), scale, so-called playability, etc.

Figures that predate that, with the exception of maybe MP-09, had different goals in terms of design choices. Hence the original mold Thundercracker above being a dark blue, having hip kibble, and having a more life-like jet mode. Figures before MP-09 do not scale with one another or the new line (though the seekers do), and they were created more as stand alone figures without a sense of being part of a larger collection visually.

Since I want that G1 world that the current line is after I find MP-11 much, much better than the earlier seekers and would never consider putting an earlier figure on my shelf. But if your goal is to have a cool representation of the seekers and don't care that much about the toon look, then you can go out and find what you like.

I wouldn't call his feet unposeable. Check out here:

They can be turned so that the feet still lie flat on the floor, that's what I always do. Looks better than them only half on the floor as you have them posed (awesome Seeker trio btw)

Ask around the Junkion Forum here. I know there are still guys selling Acid Storm at retail, and always guys selling MPs at decent prices.

I know it was rumoured, but I think a third Starscream might be a bit of a kick in the pants. MP-11 was expensive enough!! Mind you, it would explain why we haven't seen Skywarp or TT Thundercracker yet, and sadly, I would buy it like the Pavlovian slave that I am.

Yeaaaaaah. Ankle pivot articulation that is not. BIG oversight on the figure no matter how much you dress it up.
