It's nice to know they're still releasing figures with totally inaccurate colors so they can make customers double dip later on to get the Target Exclusive Premium versions or whatever the hell they're going to be called.

Yeah, they deffinitely were going for G1. Even the way he hold the rifle echoes the odd handle of the G1 gun.

So, really this figure would have looked ten times better if they WEREN'T trying to cater to G1 fans as much, since that paint could then have been used elsewhere.

Whatever, gonna paint the shit out of this guy. Maybe buy two. One to keep G1-flavoured, one to be movie-accurate.

 

The Optimus Prime that comes in the Evolution two pack is mold, Sxcept with a blue and grey chest to resemble the Trilogy..The legs however do have detail in that pack, Leg Swap? Sure why not!

 

I like the mold, I really do, but those colors make it a no go for me. Too boring.

I love the vehicle mode, that looks damn near perfect. Not sure about the bot mode.

Well the front end of Bot mode is fake and hidden. Looks like the cab flips up. revealing other parts. Ill still buy because it looks tight, and lets face it even MP Prime has the fakeness.

I think a lot of Primes are gonna have fakeness for a while.

At least until we get back to the actual in-universe designs being simpler.

 

Yeah RoTF Movie Prime and Animated Prime are the only two that I can think of that are pretty much what we see is what we get. I may need to go back and look at Animated Prime now that I think of it.

I'm not sure but yeah, the "easy pass" thing has become a bit annoying. Like people who like putting "hashtags" at the end of forum posts like a huge douche.

 

It was shown in the internal TRU promotional image that one member here leaked a couple weeks ago. Of course, the colors appear to be some kind of photoshoppery so who knows how accurate it is to the final model.
