Prime Arcee over any incarnation of Arcee especially G1.

WFC/FOC and BW Megatron over G1, Movie and RiD Megatron. Prime Megs in between.

Movie Bumblebee over G1 Bee.

BW Blackarachnia is far more memorable than her Animated counterpart and her expy, Airachnid.

FOC Dinobots over the G1 Dinobots.

BW Silverbolt more so than G1 and WFC.

Liked Animated Rodimus more than G1 Rodimus.

Movie Sentinel certainly more tolerable than Animated Sentinel.

G1 Optimus will always be the ideal Optimus Prime but I've taken a liking to just about all of them.

 

Laser beak. I like him in Armada as Ras's video camera but he's a pain in the butt in other continuities

 

RID SkyByte is the best SkyByte. Other versions have come close, but nothing yet tops the original.

Love BW Inferno. Not a big fan of G1 Inferno.

BW Rampage is awesome. Every other version of Rampage results in me asking, "Who?"

I like most versions of Optimus, but I loathe Energon Op.

 

I love all the Movie characters and I think they are better then their past incarnations.(just MY opinion).Anything is better than Animated.Prime Ultra Magnus over RID Magnus,all other versions of Wheeljack over Armada

 

Didn't care for Animated Starscream. Any other continuity I'm a big Starscream fan.

Well, I like the Marvel version of Magnus and Hot Rod/Rodimus, but was really disappointed with what Roberts did to them in MTMTE.

 

When Movie Prime started being all ruthless and cold-blooded (Give me your face...) he lost me.

I really liked Animated Bulkhead didn't like Prime Bulkhead as much.

 

BW Inferno is the only one who fits the name.

 

I love Armada Cyclonus. The name fits the alt mode.

Movie Frenzy,Ironhide, Jetfire, Laserbeak and Sentinel Prime over G1 Frenzy(despite being my favourite cassette), Energon Ironhide, most versions of Jetfire, any Laserbeak and Animated Sentinel Prime.

Animated Prowl over other versions of Prowl.
Animated Bulkhead over Prime and Energon Bulkhead.
Prime Knock Out over the other Knock Outs.
Prime Soundwave over the other Soundwaves.
Armada Red Alert over any other Red Alert.
BW Rattrap and Waspinator over their Animated counterparts.
RID Scourge over the other Scourges.

And finally......
IDW Cyclonus over Armada Cyclonus.

 

TFP Breakdown > Every other Breakdown (Seriously playing WFC and seeing "Breakdown" made me balk)
IDW Perceptor > TFA Perceptor
TFP Ultra Magnus > TFA Ultra Magnus
IDW Springer > G1 Springer

Actually, in general I dislike everyone from G1 save Optimus because Cavalier Cowboy Dad Optimus is a tough act to beat (though TFP Optimus and Movieverse Optimus are good contenders)

 

I love Animated Bumblebee and movie Bumblebee, but man his Prime version is stupid.

Likewise Animated Bulkhead and Prime Bulkhead. Man they messed up the point of that character in Prime.

Movie Sentinel is awesome, but every G1 version is a bore.

IDW Magnus is awesome. TFA Mags is cool, as is RID. But cartoon G1 and Prime stink. He was a wasted charatcer in G1, and totally horrible in prime. Like a cheap imitation of IDW's no-nonsense version.

Animated Prowl is best Prowl. Honestly, most Animated characters are the best with few exceptions.

Prime Predaking is much more interesting than the G1 combiner, even if I wished he... DID something.

As to the topic on a whole: If TFA Prowl was named Groove instead, I bet most of you would be going 'Best character evahr!' on that. I'm a big fan of G1/police Prowl (not the IDW one, where he's, again, a traitorous dickbag) but TFA Prowl is damn awesome.

Prime Arcee is best ever.

TFA Magnus, RiD Magnus, and G1 Magnus (the epitome of soldierhood one) are great Magnuses, a certain one where he's just a ghost in armor possessing anyone wearing his armor, terrible.

TFA Megatron and BW Megatron are perhaps the best Megatrons. Even as a mere head, TFA Megatron's able to win victory after victory.

TFA Red Alert would be the top of the list, considering she was supposed to have been Armada Red Alert w/his backstory and TFA Ratchet's history in one.

I like 'afraid of flying' Silverbolt most.

Fort Max is best in G1 Marvel where he's a war weary reluctant leader who just wants peace.

Movie Sentinel is great.

As to Bumblebee...he's just damn annoying in every continuity. Which is better, an annoying character that doesn't shut up when you want him to, or doesn't (well, can't) talk when you do?

I will take any other Ironhide over Energon Ironhide (Cue "Dull Surprise")

Marvel G1 Grimlock is the best version of him: He talks like cartoon Grimlock, and has a greater dislike of Optimus, but he's also not a doofus.

IDW Bombshell/Hardshell is better than any of his counterparts: He's so deliciously evil and twisted. Granted, this may have been because other mediums couldn't really explore the extent of his mind control abilities and what sort of creeps the Insecticons generally were, but nevertheless, IDW did the most to flesh that out.

G1 Cartoon Mindwipe is this fearless hypnotist in "The Rebirth", but a weenie in the Marvel Comics (One of the few characters where this was true), scared of bats in Japan, and we didn't get to really see him in action in Animated, so naturally, Cartoon Mindwipe wins by a landslide.

Marvel Galvatron (Be it here or terrorizing our fellow Transformers fans' favorite characters in Britain) may be the greatest version of him yet. He's crazy, he's diabolical, he was Megs, which lead to a great little identity crisis (Over here at least. Any Brits out there, feel free to enlighten me if he had a similar problem in the UK comics), and... he WON.

 

I like IDW prowl but a slightly more effective one who has altruistic and good goals but absolutely no moral scruples in the horrid atrocities he would commit to achieve those goals, even the one we did get in idw owns his bland G1 portrayal

IDW brainstorm, whirl, swerve all really need some more exposure in tv show, they are too awesome to stay as obscure fan favourites and easily beat their respective G1 portrayals.

pretentious intellectual snob idw Alpha Trion is way more interesting than his wise old man in G1

We need G1 Sky Lynx to get an update as he owned season 3 and he would be amazing in mtmte given the chance and he certainly beats his prime or idw portrayals.
