He is lacking a lot of detail.

 

I love this fig!! I think its the fact the G1 cab makes me happy but i love seeing the movie prime altered in robot mode to fit the new alt. Plus it does have some G1 aestethic which makes it cool in my book. Sad that this form wasnt used before and probably short lived too.

 

Its a paint job away from looking decent in my book. I dont like most of the movie figs but this one is interesting at least

Pros:
-Fantastic alt mode
-Armored-looking bot mode
-Good-looking gun

Cons:
-That huge gap in the chest
-The elbows
-The flat bits sticking out of the sides of his torso
-Ugly face
-Blue shoulders
-Movieverse feet

He's a Voyager class, so whatever the current price is for Voyagers where you live!  

 

I'm torn on this guy. On the one hand, the idea behind it and the aesthetics are great. On the other, his actual engineering and construction is clearly cheap as hell. DoTM Megatron was a step down, quality-wise, from previous voyager figures, and next to him Prime looks even cheaper.

He still looks like he could be fun, but I can imagine a version built to the standards of, say, a RTS Lugnut and it makes me sad. As it is, he looks like a simplified KO of what could have been an amazing HasTak toy.

 

DOTM Megs has great engineering actually, the transformation is fantastic (same goes for a lot of the DOTM voyagers, really). The same seems to be the case for this toy. Both are held back by lack of color details and I'm assuming the plastic isn't the best either. Still, looks like a fun figure.

One think I miss from the Prime incarnation is the shoulderpads, I think this figure's silhouette would be improved with some bigger shoulders.
