You'd have to be an idiot to believe that Optimus is a life-sized render. He's barely the height of the truck...

That truck just keeps managing to look sillier and sillier the better the pictures are. It's like Bay told the prop department to get every stick-on car part they could find.

That really is a honking big truck. I am digging Optimus' new bod, just not the toy versions sadly. Dude been hitting the weights. I do hope they show a little reasoning for the redesign other than him just re-scanning a new vehicle mode. Because they are stretching some of the previous laws of mass/mathematics with him in the flat nose form from trailers. Unless they said, "Slag it let's just do it, even if it doesn't make sense."

I agree about the mass shifting. My brother and I were talking about how in the trailer when Optimus burst from the barn, there's no way that much of him could be in that flat nose semi. And then for him to scan this new massive truck, while staying the same mass in robot mode from both trucks...

Yep, because they chose the long nose semi because you could fit a thirty foot tall robot in it and you could not with the flat nose. Plus the (to me) the long nose looks better and edgier. More threatening. I think with this one they're are just putting it in just to appease the hardcore complainers/fans. Its a movie with movie world logic.

It wouldn't really matter. I live in Louisville and still can't go. The show isn't open to the public. You have to be employed in the trucking industry and must pre-register to attend. It sucks for me because I love trucks. My father drove an 18-wheeler and so did my grandpa. I used to go to this show every year until the late 90's when my dad stopped driving. I would love to be able to go every year and Prime would just be icing on the cake this year. I'm actually still considering trying to sneak in tomorrow because I know the venue so well, I think I could pull it off. It wouldn't be the first time (I fractured an occasional law as a kid  ). If I do, I'll try to post some pics here.

I believe it is an assumption to think that the truck in the barn and Optimus are one in the same. I would wager this is an editing choice to throw folks off. Also, when would Optimus have went offline?

I would think that truck is the Flat Nose truck we have seen for the movie that is believed to be Galvatron?? Makes sense that Marks character may accidentally activate a Decepticon.

Makes no sense for the flat nose truck in the barn to be Optimus. The colors are not correct and though he is dirty you can see the red and blue though it is muted with dirt.

The truck in the barn is Optimus. I have no idea how one can believe otherwise when we know it sends an activation message upon re-awakening, has a faded flames paintjob, has a toy coming out, has government goons specifically looking for Optimus coming for it, and oh...select people have seen footage of AOE and have verified it's Optimus....

The new altmode is beastly, by the way! :)

My belief was that it was an official Hasbro statement that believed it was 'life-sized' in which case I was expressing my annoyance at that considering Hasbro constantly mess things up when it comes to describing their products - I remember a trading card Transformers game from Hasbro for example that listed 'The Fallen' as having the stats of Devastator.

I was intending to poke out how silly it would be for the corporation to make that mistake - not an individual. I did not know it was an inaccuracy on behalf of a TFW2005 member and did not intend to offend them - if I did I'm sorry.
