for a second I thought this was the same as that nutjob who deliberately named his thread Age of Extinction to get more attention for his Ebay sales.

    Wait, that was me XD

Very nice custom work. I can understand why robot mode is nonexistent XD

What's wrong with this custom? I think it looks great, and the idea is obviously spectacular as usual. In fact, I'm actually the lucky owner of some of his artworks, and as hard to believe as it may be, they look even better in person. :D

well the paint is a little thin on the silver with bleeding of the underlying black.it'd be nice to have some bot mode pics as well.it's not a horrible custom, but it's not really a good one

    Gosh, tough crowd.

I think it's pretty cool. Always been impressed with your sculpting. Even if it's not the smoothest, it's always decently intricate. Been a fan of yours since the "On the Shoulders of Giants" customs. Still love seeing what you put out.

Don't listen to those naysayers, man.

    Bot mode up :)

Thanks mates! the bot is up.

I posted the bot, obviously it is not anywhere close to AoE Galvatron, but he is mean looking, if not rather squat...lol

lol read the above post :)

Sorry mate, I had wanted to use the silhouette-like pic of him, but could not find a decent one, so I opted this...it was meant as a joke, but I guess it didn't come across as such. my bad.

Actually, they should. Its a hard thing for people to post their work in front of others. Sometimes a person's custom is the greatest thing since slice bread, other times its not. It does not matter, as they(we) are just sharing.
You should not knock someones work down, just because you do not like it, but rather, give support and constructive criticisms. I'm not the best painter out there, far from it, but I do sculpt, and I do heavy customs with varying degrees of success.
    Thanks mate!

    Thanks bro!

Thanks mate, the bot pics are up. I did the best I could on this one, I may do another if I can (learning from my mistakes on this one)

Thanks mate, much appreciated, I always endeavor to learn from each custom, and to try something new. In this case I learned some interesting lessons.

    Thanks mate.

    how cute!...a wittle Galvatron!!

I really hope they give us a decent movie toy of this guy....my plan is to do the opposite of what you did here if they do.

I got an extra one of these lil dudes....I should try and make one for myself.

FACT: Constructive criticism is not automatically saying IT LOOKS AWSUM! The paint is uneven and gloppy. The lines are uneven. These are examples of constructive criticism in that they can help the customizer hone their skills. Just saying it looks great does nothing to help the artist become a better artist. The sculpting on the head looks decent, and with some time I'm sure the artist can become great.

I suggest starting from scratch after learning the fundamentals of Model painting. Focusing on aesthetic consonance may help also. As it stands this custom does not look like something that I don't think anyone would be interested in buying for what it is. If you are personally satisfied with it, then bully for you, but don't be upset if others find it less than satisfactory, because honestly, it is.

You are correct it doesn't, but it is a confidence builder.
What you said, in your first post was not a critique. I'm fine with it being the blank comment that it was. Oh and thanks for the comment on the head :)

I do work on the fundamentals, prep, thin layers, curing, etc. My style is usually drybrushed weathered look. When it comes to smooth paintjobs I am very much a newb, and ask anyone in here, I am the first one to admit it.
You may think it is unsatisfactory, and I am totally cool with that, but as I said I learned a lot with this. Not everything I do or post on this forum will be flawless, and I take each custom as a learning experience. If you cannot accept that then that's on you.
I'm not trying to pick fights here, I'm just posting my stuff. Sorry for getting you mates all worked up about a little custom.
