I don't mind the design, looks alright.

However, I can't say the premise of a Prime sequel with Bumblebee as the leader is of any interest to me. Not a fan of the Prime series or Bumblebee. Also don't like hearing a blend of 3D characters and and 2D backgrounds that the article mentions.

That image alone kinda screams "Flash animated show" to me. Hope I'm wrong.

 

I hope the animation doesn't look as stiff as that promo art. Animated Prime looked terrible in the first image and that show was great, so I'm not passing judgement yet. But dang, it screams stiff flash animation to me. That's the one thing I hate about Rescue Bots. I love the core design though, as much as the style bugs me.

I hope the show will be good; I haven't had anything good to watch on TV since Prime and Breaking Bad ended. Hopefully they don't mess up the Bumblebee being the leader thing. I'd love to see him and smokescreen butt heads a couple times, especially with him originally being chosen as a Prime. I know he decided he didn't want to, but that would be an interesting plot point to come up when the Autobots are in a bad spot and questioning Bees leadership.

 

Please let the Masterpiece line continue. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

And that design... it's better than the Prime aesthetic, but I still feel like we're so far from "looks like it turns into something."

YES. Someone has been listening. I just got excited about Bumble-freakin-bee.

 

Well...this is different. So this is a cartoon that's a sequel to Prime, no Optimus Prime at all, Bumblebee being the leader of a new team of Autobots, it's in 2D animation, and it'll be lighter in tone than Prime.

If Hasbro could just switch out Bumblebee for someone else, I'd say this could be Animated's spiritual successor. But since this is a sequel to a show that had wasted potential, forget it. I think I'll stick with Mechafire on this and just read the comics. Anyone know where I can start in the IDW-verse?

 

The release says "3D animation mixed with hand-painted backgrounds."

Considering how far shading/rendering technology has come, I suspect this means it's actual CGI. And the simplified style means that they can build and rig new characters a lot faster, too.

 

This artwork is really bad. Hope it's just a promo shot and the final result will be much better.

I hope that all the old 'Bots from Prime ('cept Ratchet) are discarded in favor of new characters. How about some Swerve? Or maybe Warpath? The possibilities are endless and I hope the results make me happy.

Ugh, NOT a promising start. Who knows, it could change, but I can literally see how they drew it in flash. Like the little curved grey pieces on his feet are, like, the most basic bend tool rather than a proper curve.

 

By looking at this pic, it makes me wonder if Bee transforms into a Cybertronian vehicle instead of an Earth based one. If so, then I wonder if we will get so see more action on Cybertron and other planets like Junkion.

 

That look really crappy, but promo art usually does. But meh, I don't care the Prime universe is boring and bland and souless. Might check out the first episode just for the hell of it.

Reminds of Animated, but if Prime was replaced with Bee. See, I loved Animated. So I'm sure I'll probably love this. I like the look of the animation. I hope this show will be on par with Prime, and Animated.
