That's blue, but not really a Diaclone homage. The Spychanger is a closer homage, and it's not "Bluestreaky" enough to count in any other respect (and the blue isn't terribly blue at all on that one...).

 

Don't buy it if you don't like it. Don't want stuff like this in the MP line? Vote with your wallet. How are they supposed to know if MP collectors "do not want" stuff like this if said MP collectors keep lining up to throw to money at them regardless?

Situations like this is why being a completist is actually damaging to the line.

 

Cancelled at BBTS. If AE has it for regular retail, 4500¥ or so, I'll pick one up. But if Tigertrack is any indication, convention exclusives are almost double even from importers.

 

Idk TT didn't start selling for $100 until recently. You could get them for $60 or 70 for quite a long time.

 

I know what you mean, but you misunderstand.   It's not that I don't like it, it's that I would have liked something else more. But this mold is great, and while I would have preferred a blue version I think a bright silver version will look nice (nice enough to purchase) as well. If it were something truly godawful, that would be a different story.

Heck, that's the reason FOC broke my Classics/Generations completionist streak. I had picked up every Classics/Henkei/Generations/whatever figure up to that point, and then the terrible, terrible FOC molds rolled along... and the Takara versions with their inflated import prices to boot... and the streak broke. You have to have standards.  

 

i have little to no interest in Silverstreak, yet, i don't want cancel for some reason. i think i'll go sacrifice an extra pointless Bumblebee to Unicron in the hope it's a Blue Bluestreak.

Yea, I know it doesnt usually stand for color. It was mainly my disappointment talking there. Like I said I just saw b and since Ive been hoping for a diaclone version, I automatically assumed.  

 

hell, if japan really wants a silver streak, we will gladly take the diaclone blue try version over here. only problem is the scalpers will be out in force… ugh, why bother.

i assumed it would be a diaclone blue because that would be awesome and thats what so many people would be interested in it was hard to believe they wouldn't take that opportunity...

It'd be hilarious if poor sales of this one see them conclude the figure is all played out, leading them to cancel plans to release a long-awaited blue version later.

 

If the pics turn out to be not-blue and not a new character, I'll be canceling my order.

I feel bad for all the stores because everyone just logically assumed it would be blue.

 

Didn't we all feel the same way back when the Datsun mold was reissued more than a decade ago, and they started doing non-G1 recolors?

Yet, blue Bluestreak never happened.

Maybe this time, finally, but I see no reason why this time is assumed "it WILL happen" when it never did before....

 

I seem to be the minority, but I am intrigued by a more accurate G1 'Streak.

I will wait to see pictures before cancelling.

See for me Blue Bluestreak would have been a no-brainer (provided my situation is fixed by the time it hits, if it hits) as one of my First TFs back in the day was a Diaclone Blue Fairlady 280 ZX. (I don't think I have ever owned a G1 All Silver Bluestreak. Even the Reissue I had was Anime Streak) When I was a kid My Dad would go on business trips to Japan and elsewhere in Asia. He would bring me home Diaclone, Microchange or other transforming robot toys from each trip starting with Cassette Man and going from there.

This was before TF Launched, and even after I would get Transforming Toys from Japan. I remember my G1 Whirl was not a Transformers one, and kids being confused as to why my "Jetfire" had Different Markings and Grey Fastpacks.

 

seriously another streak... and a different shade of silver. lame....and Im calling shenanigans.....LOL But Ill still buy it since I buy all MP's

I've become an MP whore. I'm holding on to my pre-order even though I wish they'd gone with a BLUE Bluestreak instead. Hopefully Takara will make it happen, and I will buy that one in a New York minute!  

 

We'll, there are probably some 3rd party guys in China that excited right now. If they KO BlueStreak they stand to make a lot of $$$$ if Takara or Hasblo pass up this opportunity to give fans what they want. I would even buy a Black and Tan version"Black Gold". YouTube black gold 280zx.
