the cgi... it looks so shitty for some reason. i understand that it is probably unfinished. but it looks so, flat, for some reason. like it is just cut and pasted on. it's mostly the shading i think. it just looks a bit off.
and it also looks extremely cartoonish.

but over all, it looks okay. more fun then the first trilogy, maybe?

 

Theres a "remember chicago" on the road he drives down. It was implausible that the government covered it up after the first movie, but this is the 4th

 

Does any else thing that the G1 truck could possible be a fake-out Terminator 2 style? Like the white truck could be Galvatron, and the trailers just cut to make you think otherwise? Has this been mentioned yet?

 

I don't think you can use vehicles as a comparison. You have a giant metallic t-rex whos weight distribution is nowhere near the same. Maybe liken it to a very large dog running at you at full pelt and you using a large bin lid to swipe it to one side as it hits you. Not impossible to image knocking it off balance as you are leaning into the deflection.

On the other hand it's a film about giant robots from another planet that can change form. That's about as unrealistic as it gets.

 

Maybe Grimlock's mostly hollow inside (like with bird bones) which is why he's easy to swat away?

 

I don't mind it either, I enjoy the movies for what they are: action packed movies about alien robots..

I just find it hardly convincing, if Prime can do that, then why would we need Grimlock at all? It was a bit anti-climatic to me, but I do really like it 

 

Prime is planted firmly on the ground, a t Rex is unstable already to begin with with only its tail and head for balance. Change the direction of one or the other and its not so hard t believe that prime swatted him away like that. Prime is just lucky, I don't think grimlock would be so unstable in bot mode.

 

I just rewatched the trailer, grim does indeed just continue the same way while prime steps out of the way.. Ignore my idiotic rambling, carry on

I have a hard time believing people that love transformers...that are on a transformers fan site....WON'T go see the movie...BULLSHIT...

Take a deep breath...and admit to yourself you'll see it. Hell, I LOVE gijoe and I seen those abominations...stop it!

 

I'm now 100x more pumped for this movie! When I saw the undercover optimus being towed home by mark wahlberg i was instantly hooked! I think I'll like the human element better in this story (as long as it's not Marky Mark & The Transformers + Grimlock and some Dinobots) loved the ending!

 

Anyone else notice in the shot of OP rising up, with the added CGI, that Tessa is no longer in the shot?

Not sure if it means anything but thought it was interesting.

Looks like more of the same:

- Slow motion running from explosions? Check
- Girl dressed like a pole dancer for no apparent reason? Check
- "Attractive" girl leaning up against some solid object while hair covers part of her face? Check
- Same "attractive" girl calling out someones name from behind something/being imprisoned? Check (3 times in this trailer, no less)
- Main human slow motion shot from ground while throwing some over exaggerated punch? Check (not from this trailer, but whatever)
- American flags all over the place, because, you know, in case you forgot, "Murica! FUCK YEAH!!"? Check

Marky Mark was a shitty rapper, and is still a shitty actor. Same character in EVERY movie. It's awesomely terrible.

Like someone else said, same shit, different cast.

Only plus I see is that I can finally make out what the hell I'm looking at, in terms of the robots. And they have some bright colors which is an improvement over of all dark gray and more gray robots.

At least the kiddies will like it, and it will make bank, regardless of what people say or think.

Bayverse TF movies = the Lady Caca of the movie industry.

At least we have the comics where people actually give a shit about the property and telling a decent story with actual characters.
