Anime Cat Crap Jazz FTW!!!

 

This head sculpt si simple AWESOME! At last some mechanical faces, personally I never liked TF's to ahve human faces, or things like lips or noses (I can make an exception with Megs and Screamer) this head sculpt is incredible and the mold looks great.

Now to save money!

 

If they "suck", why do I like them so much? Is my aesthetic sense so distorted?

 

Jazz has blue windows on the toy, while the package shows black windows, looks good although he does have a lot of grey/metallic parts:S

Brawl his face is actually beginning to grow on me, especially his tank mode is absolute coolness. So he's alright then.

Wreckage cool name, cool tank, cool botmode, don't like all those red parts, cool head, cool blades. Jeej

I can't believe they put skorponoks robot mode on the package..

 

Wow, know that I see the close up of Jazz, and Brawl, I think that these toys are so articulate.

I hope to god I dont have the money when these come out.... 

 

Jazz - Still reminds me of a Patlabor, but I can dig it. I do like the fact that the spoiler becomes a shield and it appears that his gun turns into a sword too. Very nice. I also like the head sculpt minus the odd mouth peice.

Brawl - Good grief. It's Tankor version 2.0... not that it's bad, but it's just kind of odd. They could have called him Tankor and gotten away with it. I am actually pretty impressed with the level of detail in this guy considering that he's a basic. Still not to into his head sculpt, but a lot of the faces have had to grow on me... his and Megatron's just seem to be taking a bit longer.

Wreckage - Freakin' sweet looking figure right there! It's nice to see a more traditional looking robot in this line and hopefully all the "non-movie" movie characters will have a similar feel to them. I also like the "Megatron bucket-head" they gave him too. Not to mention, does anyone else but me think Dinobot when they read the bio? Especially with that head design.

All in all I actually think a lot of these guys look really good. I'm digging the bios too. Again, like with the last couple of toy lines, it looks as if someone with some education actually started writing these things again... which would be the first time since BW IMO.

 

Apparently, unused movie designs and extra toys do have cameos, but in the prequel comic.

 

They could also be using vehicle modes that appear in the movie but aren't Transformers. It wouldn't be surprising if the military was using some Stryker APCs in the film.

 

Im slowly beginning to get used to these freakish designs. Jazz is beginning to scream "COOL!!" to me and Brawl is just destruction made into plastic for retail. I think the toys make the movie designs look alot better. Still, my whole perception of Transformers is blown out of the water. Ima still buy most of them.

 

He's a deluxe, actually. Not a basic.

And by god, I'm so going broke this summer. I love all of them.

 

Why again are Jazz & Brawl being called 'Autobot Jazz' & 'Decepticon Brawl' ?

Jazz, Brawl and Ratchet are common words that are difficult to trademark. So adding their faction names makes it alot easier.

 

These 3 are again solid buys for me. And I Wreckage's head design, does remind of ol' BM Meg's head...as for Brawl, the head kinda reminds of me of a giddy dino for some strange reason.

I don't understand how they seem to be having such trouble with the asthetic of all the characetrs and yet they can get Jazz looking so nice. Brawl has always looked nice, but WHOA where did wreckage come from. I LIKE it!.... sweet sweet hands!!!

 

WHy does Jazz have cat ears? Brawl looks hawt though!

 

Brawl is GREAT! However, I will wait for the leader class before I decide if I'm getting both.

Jazz is pretty cool as well, although his chest is a little big considering the proportions of the rest. Wreckage is pretty cool for a surprise character, especially since we all thought he was bonecrusher a while ago, but then people thought he was some armada repaint or something.

Chalk me up as another person who looked at Wreckage and thought "Megatron?" for a moment. Interesting.

I'm probably a little behind on this, but I thought Scorponok was just going to be a non-transforming drone. Even if he doesn't TF in the movie, I'm glad to see they made a transforming toy of him. I look forward to seeing a larger pic--looks kinda cool.

The entire line shows a lot of promise, but I'm going to wait until I actually hold them in my hands until I decide if I want to buy them.
