wheres the 50% upscale KO?

 

I decided to wait a couple of weeks until after I had Diesel to give any thoughts in case my opinion changed a bit after I had some time to mess with these... but man, I just do not enjoy this set. Sure, Intimidator looks cool all combined up on the display shelf, but pick him up and mess with him a bit and panels start popping loose everywhere. The fiddliness of this set is crazy. When combining for the first time, I actually decided to put everything down in the middle of the process and come back and finish it later. That's not a good thing. I'm usually pretty stoked to be putting together a combiner for the first time.

FP's Function-X line is awesome and I'll continue to pick them up as they put them out, but I think from here on in I'll be avoiding the rest of their stuff.

 

So am I just relly dumb or did i just get 2 Diesels with the entire leg assemblies swapped?

Got my first diesel about 3 weeks ago. After tranforming him the cab was on the inside of his legs. I Determined the legs were wrong so i opted for a an exchange. Fast forward to today.... Same issue. The left and right legs appear to be switched?

Anyone else have this problem? Or am I just completely missing something?

 

They're almost all assembled wrong. But flipping the hips around then twisting the thighs 180 will "mostly" fix it. (good enough for most people).

So to me...this can't be fixed with the "flip and switch" or does everybody just have Diesel rocking the Menasor front skirt all the time?

dude, the lower half of the waist, right across the crotch, also rotates. rotate that, then rotate both legs around and you should be good.

 

I made a post a bit ago about who I should get. I ended up with M3, should be here Saturday or Monday. WOO WOO!

 

rotate below waist and flip/switch legs 180 degrees... you're facing forwards, but walking backwards  

 

Please don't screw with them because you can't get it right. First things first:

1.) Leave the yellow parts of the waist facing you.
2.) Rotate the lower part of the pelvis/hips so the purple cod piece also faces you.
3.) Rotate the hips on each leg until the gray pieces face you.
4.) Rotate the legs at the thigh.

When you do this, the legs will face the right way, the feet will face the right way, the figure's fine and you need not ask for a THIRD trip down this road. They must think you're crazy.

For those saying his figure is fine...is it normal to be able to have the hips showing a screw on one leg and not showing one on the other? I've only transformed mine once and have little intentions of messing with it much so I'm no expert, but it looks jacked up. But maybe it's correctable by transformation.

 

Yes... you just have it mistransformed.

The top part of the leg rotates at the connection to his crotch, then you just rotate his leg. Don't know how people still get this wrong.

 

Man, it's easy to fix that. All you have to do is rotate those hip connectors.

Yeah i saw that mistransformation and just facepalmed, it wasn't worth my effort to explain, i just wanted to watch him rewritten a perfectly good figure lol
