Hasbro has also put out a press release for the 2014 Kre-O sets today. The press release confirms a couple of things:

    - Kre-O is now a Toys R Us exclusive line in the US
    - The identities of the Kreons with each set are confirmed. There may be some possible spoilers on the Factory Battle set, which is at the end of the release. The generic Kreons with many of the sets are Vehicons!
    - The gimmick of this line is "Dinoforce" which seems to have something to do with magnetic features.

Check out the full press release here.

For reference, all the official pictures are here.

Toys R Us exclusive!? GODDAMMIT! I fucking hate that TRU keeps getting exclusives. the one near me doesn't order product for shit. and when they do, the goddamn scalpers get all the new stuff before it even hits the sales floor. leaving nothing but the same bullshit shelfwarming Construct bots that have been sitting there since august.

Guys, Guys, we're all missing the BIG news revealed with this press release:

COLLECT ALL 12 (TWELVE, NOT FOUR/4) Custom Kreons! That means there's 8 Custom Kreons yet to be revealed.

Dat name at the bottom of the list!

    Can't wait to see
    him
    and to hear who voices
    him
. What are the chances that
    Frank Welker
    will be doing it?

And with the parts being meant to be interchangeable, I think the Drift being a chopper idea is not happening. Sorry guys.

Actually the last lot (Dreadwing, Predaking etc) were included with the latest batch of official images. So it might be those six are being counted too. If so then it's only two more to go. Either way yeah more Custom Kreons in the pipe.

Why are putting spoiler blocks? We all know Galvatron is in. And sure there is a great chance Welker could voice him.

    • Lockdown
    • Ratchet
    • Galvatron
    • Vehicon
    • Bumblebee
    • Stinger
    • Sideswipe/Leadfoot
    • Drift
    • Crosshairs
    • Optimus Prime (Normal)
    • Optimus Prime (Silver)
    • Optimus Prime (Gold)

Most likely scenario is above based on the sets.

Just when Target was getting a handle on releasing them. Well, the Microchangers, at least. *sigh* Back to online buying again for me...

I wonder who the all other blindbags and customs are.
And I still want to know if Wave 4 is getting more of a release. Right now it sounds as good as dead (and quite frankly that batch sounded a million times better than the AoE stuff).

Would you have rather they canceled the line instead?

Yes, I was thinking there would be 2 more revealed since the custom waves always come in 6's. That must mean two waves of 6.

interesting. really kind of wish I could have a proper Kre-o build kit of Grimlock before the line went under, though.

They're a TRU exclusive in the US - it has no bearing on availability in other territories.

So wouldn't technically the KREO Microchanger Combiners like Computron and Menasor still potentially be at, say, Target, since they were technically 2013 releases? This press release only says that "The 2014 KRE-O TRANSFORMERS line from Hasbro features the following products, which will be available exclusively at Toys“R”Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com" and then proceeds to list a bunch of Age of Extinction products.

Only in the US? I wonder if the same will hold true in Canada...

I guess it doesn't matter. Might be moderately more difficult to get them, at most. I'm just happy the line is continuing at all (and the GI Joe ones, even more so!).

With bh ending and kreons becoming exclusive does that mean generations will be the only line? How long till bh is phased out? Dam with bh and kreons gone there will be no tfs on the shelf! Im sure generations.are shipping but i never see them. Forgot about construct bots there will be plenty of those to clog aisles

The problem is, Hasbro doesn't supply all of the TRU stores with Transformers Kre-O to begin with. Only a couple TRUs in my area carried waves 2 & 3 of the blind packs, and even fewer had the combiners. Without Target and Walgreens carrying the blind packs, it's going to be almost impossible to get these. I sure hope Hasbro compensates a little by fixing this problem. These Kreons are hard enough to find as it is, and I know I'm not alone in that regard.
