GRRM has briefed the showrunners of the planned conclusion to ASOIAF, so if he is unable to complete the books for whatever reason the story can still be told on the show.

There was talk of planned prequel series covering Robert's Rebellion or the Dunc and Egg saga if the show caught up with the books.

 

I didn't know that. I'm not sure how well Dunc and Egg would do as an HBO television show, only because it felt much 'lighter' than the ASOIAF main books. Also less opportunity for boobs but I'm sure HBO would find a way.

 

When does Season 4 start?

Frankly I'll be happy if the series gets finished in ANY way be that books or the TV. I REALLY don't want another Wheel of Time happening.

 

Hah, I'm on Book 8 of Wheel of Time right now. I thought "Surely by the time I finish reading this series Germ will have completed Winds of Winter."

 

Wheel of Time makes me sad man. The first 4 books are so goddamn good if he only finished it up there in like 5 or 6 it would've been such an AMAZING series.

But then Jordan kept going on and on and the books started to decline in quality because of it and then he died without finishing it and the substitution writer squeezing like 3 more books from his notes just didn't do it for me

GAME OF THRONES Star Emilia Clarke Voted 2014's Most Desirable Woman

Miss Clarke beat out Jennifer Lawrence, Emme Watson, Kat Dennings, Scarlett Johansen, Cobie Smolders, Emma Stone and Gal Gadot (though that last one wasn't too hard). She would make a good Wonder Woman IMO.

HBO's Game Of Thrones has come in for a fair bit of criticism for it's liberal use of sex and nudity, but one actress from the show definitely doesn't see what all the fuss is about. While attending a press event in London to promote Season 4 of Game Of Thrones, Carice van Houten (Melisandre) was quick to jump to the defense of the series when asked about the bare skin on display. “We can see machine guns but we can’t see f**king – sorry – people? I really don’t get, I have to make a point here. Who sleeps with their bra on? I mean, sorry if that’s a Dutch approach but I think we need to get used to it. It’s part of life.”

The one on the horse? That just looked like a generic WW to me. I couldn't figure out who the guy with all the scars/seams on the back of his bald head was though, the one walking up to Tormund.

Yeah, Drogon got freaking huge.

 

I just watched this, and noticed Cities in Dust from the Fall of Cybertron trailer.   I though "Is that-?" yes it is!

Which will literally be the coolest thing to see besides the Dragons.

 

Just picked up my Season 3 from Target.

I got the only Target exclusive copy that didn't have one of those security wraps on them. I don't know why anyone still uses those things, they dent up the product.
