Like Gregg, when I speak, I speak for myself.

Roadbuster doesn't do it for me. Too puffy looking, legs are spindly looking, and I just don't like the look of him. FOR ME, spending $20 on an "ok" figure when there's an awesome figure that hits on all the points for me, just because the $20 figure is cheaper, is dumb.

Not calling anyone dumb for liking Roadbuster or for buying him because he is cheaper than Revolver. I just don't feel the need to shit on people because they like what they like.

    Yep.

If I hadn't already saved up and budgeted for Revolver I'd be factoring in pice much more. As it is, if Hasbro gets to the American market first I might just call it a day and buy Hasbro. For the price difference, there are a lot of other cool products I can buy.

I honestly like both. I even think they will look good next to each other as different characters or even reformatted versions...just have to find them lol

My original plan was just to get the remolded twins since the mold is freaking awesome I can keep one armored up with the extra parts to make them different from one another.

I'm having a hard time keeping away from Revolver now but I don't want to triple dip. Official Roadbuster looks like he has awkward weaponry and doesn't do it for me. I hate both of their official coloring though.

After seeing the Hasbro release, both of these miss the mark imo. Hasbro got the vehicle mode and bulky chest right, then gave him chicken legs. Fansproject version looks like him in colors only to a large degree. Roadbuster was my favorite as a kid, hoping someone releases a great one someday.

I'd expect we will see preorders very soon. I don't expect they'll sell out on the preorders right away as the hardcore folks dropped the change to get him from Action Robo and other places in the first release, plus the Hasbro reveal will dampen enthusiasm somewhat.

Don't be dumb, his point is valid and applicable to a significant proportion of the fanbase. You can't compare costs of TFs between countries just by plugging the price into an exchange rate convertor. There are a lot of other differences to consider: different salaries, taxation, cost of living, buying power, ETC. The *real* cost of buying TFs at Australian retail is only marginally different from the USA. Is it more expensive? Yes. But not by much.

Just buy whichever you fancy. If you can afford both, good for you! :thumbs2:

It doesn't really matter, as you'll be buying it for your collection. And it should impress you, not someone else.

That's the spirit and pretty much sums everything up. I'm going to get revolver but that is not going to stop me from getting the official Roadbuster if reviews of them are good.

I like them both. If one didn't exist, I'd be perfectly happy with the other. I have FP and Hasbro Springer, and love them both, so this will be a similar situation. Different representations for different stages of the character.

I actually LOVE the giant tires on Hasbroadbuster. They're what I wanted on Revolver. The original Mugen Calibur and Revolver both share the issue of small wheels and low clearance; the only roads those two will be busting are neatly manicured driveways.
I still think I like Revolver's robot mode more, though; he's just so imposing in stance and visage. Maybe I'll change my mind once I have both in hand; can't wait to find out.
