"Megatron vs. Galvatron: The Mirror Routine" When Megatrons and Galvatrons cross paths, they inevitably fight because, y'know, evil. But I found it interesting to envision such a face-off where the conflict stemmed from one of them being good. And who better to fight Shattered Glass Megatron than his moldsake Energon Galvatron? Especially since, in the latter's Megatron days, he'd fought a Galvatron from another dimension himself. What if, aware now of the existence of other dimensions, he's now launching his own invasions? Given all the name-changes in Energon, I couldn't resist continuing the general theme with the background characters. In the absence of an SG Tidal Wave, though, I made up my own. I'm curious if anyone can figure out where I got his colors... Anyway, comments, critiques? - Jackpot
Outstanding work! I always enjoy how your pieces tell a story by themselves. Its always a treat to see a new piece of art from you.
Oh wow, this is incredible. I'm a huge fan of the Energon Megatron/Galvatron, and I love SG Megatron. This is so sweet.
Yep, that's one of 'em! Thank you! I'm always happy when I have the opportunity to do them. And I've got another idea in the hopper that I'm hoping to have done in time to have prints made for Emerald City Comicon at the end of March. Thanks! And yeah, that Energon Galvatron toy is just the Galvatronniest. I could see letting go of a lot of my Energon collection, but I don't think anything short of a Masterpiece Galvatron could replace that one. Interesting, but no - grimlockprime is on the right track. But you're on the right track too, inasmuch as both Tidal Wave and Sky Lynx split into components...
So for SG Tidal Wave, the gunboat/torso is a Seaspray homage, the aircraft carrier/arms are a Broadsides homage and the hover thing/legs I have no idea... somebody with purple on them though.
Thank you, all, for the continued replies! ***DINGDINGDING*** Two out of three! You're definitely on the right track. Though the legs are meant to be pink, not purple... it's just dark back there. High praise, thank you! It's probably obvious how much of my childhood I spent staring at those G1 battle scenes...
