You know what? Galvatron has really grown on me. I love his boring ass gray truck mode. Makes sense with the whole "in disguise" thing. I'm starting to like his transformation a lot too. Granted, it's kinda similar to Evasion Prime, but a little less involved. Maybe a Leader Class could do him more Justice. His backpack could be better, but it's all folded up a bit though.

 

Argosy as Galvatron. Truck vs. truck. There has got to be a scene where Optimus rams into Galvatron (a la Ironhide vs. Crowbar and Crankcase in DOTM, or Optimus vs. Motormaster in G1) while they're both in truck mode.

That said, I'm kinda digging the Voyager molds. Hound is just so off-the-wall with his design that I have to get him. Armed to the teeth, robo-beard, chomping on a howitzer shell like it's a cygar (much like IDW Kup).... he's like a big, burly commando bot.  

G1 flatnose truck Optimus hits me in the G1 feels, so he's a buy too.

 

If they made a Cy-verse toy of Galva-truck that transformed like that, I'd buy it. But not a Voyager.

I want to like Hound, he looks like a really good toy, but those arms are kinda weird.

 

I plan on getting the Generations Deluxe Dinobots... Just not sure which Grimlock.

I want the evasion Prime just because.

Then likely the best looking leader Prime I can find...

 

I also hope Galavtron messes up Optimus really bad for revenge (hoping he is Megatron). Also would be refreshing.

 

I'm digging the dinobots, actually. Vivid, bright colors are awesome; I hate the boring silver, faded gold, "realistic" crap. They're DINO-BOTS; they should have some color. I suppose they're not exactly poisonous and would most likely sport more subtle, camouflage color in the natural world, but then again, they're made up dino robots, so I say go loud and colorful!  

Drift looks surprisingly NOT hideous. Overall, these are looking better, IMO, then the previous movie figs (with the exception of Galvy, who's a complete mess in robo form... yikes).

Not too sure about the dinobot faces, though... they look like knights! I guess if Grimlock is going for a SAMURAI look... makes some sense... I guess. But WTF is that? These are ANIMALS, not civilized gentry in her royal majesty's service!  
Leader Grimlock's alt mode is a mess. His torso is long, and it needs a natural slope. I can't imagine anything riding THAT. Which is unfortunate, as I would love a GIANT T-Rex robo...  
Voyager Grimlock is solid, though! Hope the color isn't too fugly in hand...

Nice pics... Grimmy looks wasted away --kinda sinks in the side shot, but otherwise, they look great.

 

Is there going to be more stuff revealed this Toy Fair or is that it for Transformers?

 

Scorn is my absolute favorite of the deluxes, I just love him so much.  

 

There should be more because they still haven't shown Stinger, The Sonic, or Lockdown.

 

Are all these Deluxes the first wave or 2 separate waves?

 

I'm still waiting on Leader Class Megatron and deluxe Arcee.

 

It's astounding how at Hasbro's big debut, they could have so many mistransformed figures on display.

After seeing the official pics of Scorn I've moved him from meh to interested.

Right now, Voyagers Galvatron and Grimlock and Deluxe Scorn I'll likely get, barring any engineering issues in early reviews or the like.

Voyager Evasion Mode Optimus Prime I may get, it looks good, but I'm not quite sold on it.

I'd hope that Deluxe Drift gets a remold and redeco as Bludgeon, not to would almost be a crime.

 

All I know is, I'm gonna be ticked if the Deluxe figure doesn't have a face.

 

how any of you people can be pleased with this shit is astounding.

even the toys that look decent still look VERY VERY VERY CHEAP.. and to top it off, the color choices are absolutely ATROCIOUS.. i'm just so angry that this is the way we're treated after all these years. i just can't believe it.. i knew that things will be dumbed down, but i didn't realize the extent, and part of me was in denial.. but here it is, it's reality. i feel like hasbro just shoved a large pointy object into my body.

.. why aren't bot shots, cyberverse; legion, commander, and vehicles, rescue bots, weaponizers, ultimate prime, and deluxes enough for kids?.. i mean.. at this point i'd think hasbro's version of a puzzle would be two square pieces. honestly, do kids need push button/one step transformers? are kids REALLY that STUPID these days? come on man. seriously. hasbro has VERY little respect for collectors. perfect example are the masterpiece figures.. the time between releases is ridiculous, the fact that they released an acid storm instead of starscream is crazy.. it's unbelievable.

leader class prime looks like a voyager. Darkeyes.. people were saying it could be a voyager because it looks like a voyager. all of that kibble, tiny feet, no wrist articulation, it screams voyager. and a $45 price point even though they've dumbed it down, lost articulation, and used VERY little of the budget on engineering is astounding.

leader class grimlock.. that t rex mode is sad.. the torso is unacceptable, and the details are just pathetic.. the only things similar between the t rex on screen and the toy is the fact that it's a t rex.. that's it, colors are way off, and the molding is just straight wrong.. they said they were simplifying transformations, i didn't realize that it also mean't they were going to dumb down details as well. the robot mode isn't bad, i do like the head.. but the colors and the lack of paint is so cheap it makes me sad that i've contributed to the wealth of the assholes that made these decisions.

voyager hound..this actually looks pretty decent.. i'm hoping it doesn't start looking worse once we see what he looks like in the movie. the paint detail is still lacking, but the weapons look great.

voyager "truck" .. the actual truck looks great. i give them credit for that. the robot mode looks pretty good as well.. but they really should've done something about the panels on his back, they're unnecessary. and again with the lack of wrist swivels.

voyager G1-ish prime.. man.. i was stoked for this, but after seeing it, i couldn't be more disappointed. i was really hoping for an actual movie deco.. but hey, hasbro doesn't like being accurate to anything. they figured they'd make more money making it look like G1 prime rather than making it look like what we're going to see in the movie. the thick silver stripe in truck mode is terrible. and robot mode.. man.. seriously, way to make a good looking mold come off as a cheap knock off with the paint. i mean.. come on.. just because they're using a G1 deco doesn't mean they need to be cheap. it's crazy how bad the screwed this up.

voyager grimlock.. inward bending arms.. again.. seriously? that's pathetic.

deluxe red dinobot.. dinosaur mode is rather nice looking. robot mode is rather cool too.. but the detail still looks incredibly cheap.. and the color scheme.. my goodness, they can't be serious with this garbage. .. ooo i know.. let's make it red, because, red will catch their eyes.. NO, with how dumb hasbro thinks kids are, it's going to be difficult for them to equate this figure to what they've seen on screen.

deluxe drift.. he doesn't look too bad.. but the feet look very cheap, no ankle pivots with flat up and down feet is ridiculous. and last time i checked DRIFT WASN'T EFFING BLUE.. he's, at best VERY VERY VERY dark blue or black.. but not this. they get the bugatti license to release a toy like this? come on.

deluxe strafe.. both modes look pretty good.. though scale wise he's WAY too small. and the inward bending elbows are seriously getting on my nerves. they've ruined so many figures for me it's incredible. and lastly.. the color MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HASBRO!

deluxe teal dinosaur.. hmm.. dinosaur mode looks decent.. robot mode just comes off as a throw away shelf filler/peg warmer. and AGAIN WITH DAMN COLORS!!!.. give me a break.

deluxe purple triceritops.. oh boy.. there's nothing i love more about triceratops than the sword that sticks way out of their stomachs.. oh wait, i don't love that at all. it looks okay if it were a cyberverse commander. it looks very small, and very (again) cheap. robot mode looks okay. but the head is just awful and really shows how little hasbro has invested in this. AND AGAIN WITH THE EFFING COLORS.. I DON'T WANT A TROOP OF RAINBOW DINOBOTS. THIS IS INSANE.. LITERALLY INSANE. i know that hasbro can be inaccurate when it comes to colors.. but with red, orange, blue, purple, teal/yellow dinobots.. YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME.. weird colors like that are cool for G2 style figures or throwbacks.. BUT NOT FOR LIVE ACTION DINOBOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a sad day for me.. i've really enjoyed the movies and have really enjoyed the movie toy lines.. but this feels like a big F YOU. hasbro's interest in pleasing little dumb kids sucks. and from their downward turning numbers, i hope that continues. we're the ones paying to go see these movies and making them a TON of money.. the least they could do is put some effort in giving us a quality toy line for a movie that's going to make them that much more wealthy.

i mean.. we have all of these one button transformers.. 1 step transformers.. masher things.. construct bots.. cyberverse.. etc.. why does that HAVE to bleed into the main line of deluxes, voyagers, and leaders?.. WHY?.. there are SOOO many easy transformers in this line, why couldn't they please everyone by making quality main line toys along with the easy crap?

i just don't get it.. do they think that collectors only want decent toys when it comes to classic type figures? so they figure they can just take a dump on everything else and sell it at the same price.. a price that always seems to be rising?

sorry for the long post, i'm just SO incredibly frustrated that for the next like two years i'm going to have to deal with poorly made, cheap looking toys of character designs, that, had been done right would've been incredibly awesome.

none of these figures make me appreciate the designs they're based off of.

when i see this movie, and every time thereafter, i'll always think, wow.. the toy line could've been astonishingly incredible.. but no, as payback i get fruit loop dinobots, kibble-tastic prime, and a bunch of INCREDIBLY cool cars with cheap robot modes.

it's just flat out sad.

 

Grimlock is looking better and better. No complaints on any class he's in.

Evasion Prime's awesome. Want it.

Those deluxe class dinos are very knight-looking, which is cool, then you have Mr. Samurai Drift.

 

Looks like my Ultimate Predaking and voyager Darksteel will finally have a match
