As I said in the other thread. Hopefully it is a sequel to FOC. Think about it. At the end of FOC you were heading to earth. Now this game is taking place on earth. could be something like days of future past? where its connected to AOE and wraps up the FOC story line?

 

Interesting. They seem to be advertising it as a crossover, but, is it more like a WFC/FOC is a prequel to the movies, or...

I'm not certain.

I think it will be fun though. I'll without a doubt purchase it!

Whatever, I'm happy with this. A new TF game and more WFC/FOC aesthetic which is what I wanted. I'm only a little gutted that the trailer for this is a little less impressive than previous trailers, and I'm not keen on the movie designs replacing their previous- but time will tell what the plan is

 

How will this work? A crossover? A retcon? What is it?

 

I didn't click to that the first time I watched it. This should be interesting.

 

This looks like a typical Activision thing to do. Take the assets from the High Moon games, make some AoE assets, advertise this as a movie game and a sequel to FoC. I love the High Moon games, so I'll probably end up getting this just for the single player (assuming it has any other mode), but everything about this just screams lazy cash-in.

 

Honestly, I didn't even like WFC when it came out. Thought it was overblown. But the fact that its crossing over with the movies, which I DO love, makes me a happy little boy.

 

Huh...for a crossover game trailer you really don't see any of the FOC or AoE characters interacting or even on the same screen as each other. Plus all the backgrounds appear to be reused levels (in FOC at least)

The only "cross over" elements I'm seeing are Optimus and Bumblebee from AoE using FOC guns and in a brief moment at the end with Grimlock's bite you can see the Energon Cube and Ammo Clip from FOC as well.

Just gonna make a wild prediction here, but I think this may end up being a re-release of Fall of Cybertron that can be played on the next gen consoles and it will include extra characters from AoE that can be used in multiplayer.

Or

It's an AoE story game and the multiplayer is a copy paste from FOC with added AoE characters, hence the clashing of the two universes.

 

I'm thinking this is a sequel to WFC/FOC, but with possible DLC movie design skins.

I kinda feel like they would do a whole split campaign thing. Play as the FOC guys in one, AOE guys in another [thus living up to the whole Protect/Destroy thing?]

i dunno. im not so on board with this. Looks lazily thrown together and there's no proper developer behind this at all. [Just "Hasbro Games, whatever that is.] A cheap way to to do both a FOC sequel and a new movie tie-in game without having to develop two seperate games.

God this looks awful. I hope this is being made by the same team that made the DotM game and that WFC3 will be announced at E3 this year or next...

 

If the multiplayer is as fun as FOC was then I'll be happy. Though my initial thought after hearing it'd be a crossover game is I reeeeeeally hope they do the most fun thing you could do in this situation and have multiplayer be FOC vs Movieverse instead of the usual Autobots vs Decepticons.
