As awful as TMII Jawbreaker was as a toy, he was one of my favorites because of his crazy design. I'd totally buy an "alternate" Jawbreaker like that just for nostalgia's sake.
It's very oblique. I would never guess that it's supposed to be Jawbreaker. Did Jesse do the Cybertron Evac into SG Galvatron back in 2011, or was that someone else?
whoever that is it looks like it's based off the TFP soundwave mold which would make a craptacular fembot
Maybe this could be a new Subscription Service next year or something. Or a member exclusive box set. Hopefully not botcon.
"Dynobot" looks awful, though. Until it was pointed out to me who he was, I didn't recognise him at all. It looks nothing like him.
Could somebody consolidate in one post who these molds are based on? I'm not familiar with the Prime line...
I'm no fan of Beast Machines (I still have PTSD flashbacks to those days) but they make Botanica & Rattrap look amazing. and that Dinobot will be mine! Also I should say that the writer really captured Rampage/Protoform X voice.
Not sure how sharing my opinion, admiting that all figures would be nice and stating that as a CHUG or Neo-G1 collector that'd prefer Duocons (that now triple change in the comics) over Dynobot (a Beast era character l don't mind but have no attachment to) qualifies me as being negative mate...
Yeah...just looks too much like...Drift. That IS Drift, right? Can't tell... Beast Machines worked very hard to undo all the good that was the three season of Beast Wars before it. The character assassination that went on in that show was a crime agents fiction...and I'm being deathly serious for a change. But these designs as figures...Yeah, gotta' say I'm really on board a box set of these guys IF one is produced. Come to thing of it, these might be the mock-up ideas for the subscription service 3.0, and there just testing the waters here at TFW to see if they "hit" with the fans. From what I can tell, not only do they hit, they score a knock out.
I don't really know the other characters besides BM Rattrap and Botanica. The art makes those molds really work as those characters, though, and I'd love to see these designs translated into actual figures. Hopefully real figures would look as good as the artwork. Sometimes using a design as another character looks great in comic book or art form but not so much as an actual figure (like Transtech/Animated Cheetor). I'd still like to see prototypes or mock-ups, because these could turn out great!
First post in this link might help you... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...universe-beast-characters-would-you-want.html
This is so true...before l heard about Arcee & Chromia l looked to the Prime line for figures l could use as bases for CHUG femmebots...didn't go ahead with anything because the Arcee & Chromia news...but now l'm hoping for TFCC Greenlight and Lancer from BH Arcee to compliment the upcoming femmebots and potential retoolings...
THIS. The boxset could still surprise us, but these are some really inspired choices that work incredibly well. I never even imagined that Botanica as a remold of BH Soundwave would work so well, or Rattrap for that matter! And that Torca is brilliant! Really wonder what's up with this...It does feel like a boxset reveal. I almost want to guess that these are our Knights, but probably not, because themewise they don't really work for that...
I don't see what's a big deal about the club tweeting some images from the current issue's comic. Let's hope they don't do another beast box set. Beast Machines had some cool designs, but the rest of the Beast Era is better left forgotten and buried.
