Okay, find out who the boom mic guy is and I'll blame him too.

There are many directors who are nothing but puppets of the movie studios. Bay isn't one of them probably since the "got milk" commercial. Also, since he seemed to go out of his way to say things like [paraphrasing] "I wanted to put flames on Prime. And give him lips." when there was backlash starting even before the first movie came out.

But, of course, I also blame the "writers" though I don't even think they deserve that title. Sure, there are plenty of people you could blame for the steaming piles of crap those movies are, but it takes an certain set of balls to stand on top of that pile and pound your chest for creating it.

Yeah I get the feeling that Bay, like Shamalan(?), plays things pretty close to his chest.

I feel Bay is at least more self aware. He's said it himself that he makes certain movies for certain demographics. He at least admits he fucked up with Revenge of the Fallen.

Yeah honestly maybe the fact that Prime Starscream was not such a powerhouse that what made him interesting to me. :lol  The way he can try to think out of a situation with his brain and cunning despite not being strong as well as being pretty entertaining was what made him to be one of my favourite versions of him character wise along with Armada Starscream.

I'm not so sure this is unpopular but I think the 86 movie cast were better characters than the pre movie cast. I often find myself drawn to them more than any other characters.

To be honest I like the 86 cast more then 84 myself due to me seeing the 86 movie first as well as finding them to be more fun and memeroble. It'd be fun to see a series that focused on them for a change instead of using some of the old 84 characters one day.

I've got another one. It may be my least popular opinion yet:

The character design and artwork for the IDW "More Than Meets the Eye" comics look terrible. Everyone looks dumb ESPECIALLY Cyclonus.

I want Megatron (or more fittingly, Galvatron) to transform into a nuclear missile. He can never use his alt-mode, but if he does, it's bye-bye everyone.

Again, not exactly unpopular, but going against a lot of Internet-fandom backlash: G1 Optimus is a far more interesting character than people (or the show, for that matter) gave him credit for.

Right there with you. G1 Optimus was a strong leader, yet somehow vulnerable and unsure of himself at the same time. And without getting all angsty about it, lol.

Plus he's a Prime that knew how to have fun! He played Basket Ball and you got the feeling that even though he's the leader he treated each Autobot as his equal.

Exactly, he didn't keep his people at a distance. Same with the whole "Thrones are for Deceptions. I'd rather roll!"

In contrast to that bland, pretentious "Primes don't party" attitude.

I think the Axalon Crew should be brought back.

    ...This is considered unpopular, right?

I still have a nostalgia-fueled love for Prime's second season, definitely the worst of the three seasons.

I liked the relic hunt arc, mostly for the characterization. Most of the cast received some character development, with the exceptions of Megs, Arcee and Bumblebee, Knock Out, Jack and Raf.

And I personally don't have much of a problem with the status quo being restored quickly with Orion Pax and Darkmount. On a show level, yes I see the glaring problem. But I am part of an RP on Formspring, playing Ratchet. And we definitely felt the absence of Optimus during the four month gap between season one and two, as well as the long-term aftermath of the destruction of the base and Darkmount as the Decepticons' new stronghold. So I was quite relieved and happy when Optimus was restored, and when he destroyed Darkmount.

I found Mudflap and Skids to be really funny at times. And I feel that The Fallen in that film had the best design of any of the Fallen's... well, his best design. Definitely better than the Aligned continuity's design for him. But that will probably change if Derrick J Wyatt makes a full body sketch of his version of The Fallen.

That's an unpopular opinion?? I second it then, because I thought Prime's second season was the strongest of the show.

He was stoic and knew right from wrong. But didn't always have the best answer for everything automatically.
    He was the bot!

Generally from what I've seen, Prime season two had the worst rap with the Prime forum, at least. Personally I had more moments when I wanted to rip off my head from "this is so bad or stupid" in the second season than any other season.
