Let's see, Tru US release of Masterpiece Prowl and Sunstorm. Do you think Prowl will go fast and Sunstorm will be the shelfwarmer just like Soundwave was the big seller and Acid Storm is the shelfwarmer?

What...strange news. I'm honestly a little perturbed by this. Still have tons of Acid Storms just sitting on the shelves around here. Not sure releasing this is a good idea. The choice is a little esoteric. Perhaps less so then Acid Storm, but still...

Hell, I love the rain maker squad. They were huge favorites of mine ever since I was a little kid. Did my part by picking up an Acid Storm when it was first released and dropped nearly $200 bucks over at Robot Kingdom to score Sunstorm.

For me, Sunstorm was worth it but releasing it here now for $75.00 bucks seems like a huge slap in the face. Point being, this guy was supposed to be an exclusive. if they re-sell him again at another retailer at another time, then it ceases to be an exclusive. They then should drop the title "exclusive" on ANY figure that may have a chance of seeing variant release, State side or other wise.

Probably, depending on how they space them out. They released Soudwave and Acid Storm at the same time so some people had to choose one over the other.

It's only a store exclusive in the territory where it's released. Just like MP Thundercracker using the MP-11 mold will eventually be released by Takara even though its TRU exclusive here in the States. Works both ways, unfortunately.

    +1.

    1) I agree that Acid Storm seemed to sell poorly. I also saw Thundercracker shelf-warm plenty. Why release MORE jets? Cause it's cheap? Why not do another run of Soundwave? Or get crackin on Blaster???

    2) Maybe Sunstorm WAS an exclusive, and now he's not? I mean, a lot of toys get re-released now, so it's not TOO shocking, is it? I respect your opinion and all, but I once heard someone say that you shouldn't buy something because you expect it to be rare or valuable. I think the bigger problem, after all, is that these toys are over-priced like this. $200 for Sunstorm? $200 for Grimlock? WTF.:banghead:

Woah! I'm kind of glad I didn't get the Takaratomy one for $200. Haha. Sure hope he'll be available online in Canada sine that's where I got Acid Storm and never saw it in stores.

Hm.......I dunno. I'd much rather have a Starscream 2.0 and a Skywarp 2.0 since my thundercracker feels so out of place than a Sunstorm or Acidrain. This is such a better mold than what we got 7 years ago.

I think people are going to have to realize that Hasbro's going to release the guys they can release that they haven't before they'll do Starscream again.

Maybe with Acidstorm and Sunstorm done they'll redo Starscream (if they do any more Seekers).

I like my Takara Sunstorm but I'm not sure if he's worth the $175 I spent on him on BBTS clearance. The more the merrier, I guess. Wonder if the deco's will be the same, if this pans out.

I figure Hasbro would string us along and not give Starscream or Skywarp a Stateside release so soon. They want to milk this mold into the ground before they do that. In the mean time, I'm going to enjoy my custom painted Skywarp (and lighter blue Thundercracker).

Wow. Seriously? I just took my iGear version out of the box today and put in my Detolf. Gotta laugh at the irony!
