$1000 weekend. I had a few of those before. Metroplex is a nice figure, it has some issues, but still a nice figure. I sold mine since It was a space issue. If your gonna jump on the MP train, I suggest looking at overseas stores, such as Hobby Link Japan to place your pre-orders. Only issue w/ overseas stores is Customer service on a problem fig is iffy, and depending on where the item came from, you may or may not get the "exclusive"items, like wheeljack will be coming with his anti-hypnosis device.

If you want to stay "safe" and buy domestic, there are multiple stores owned by boardmembers who post often. Ace'stoystore, Captured Prey, and ToyDojo. While I personally used todojo, any of the 3 will take care of you.

Thanks for the tip. I used to use local merchants back in the early 2000's and have used BBTS before. I have never tried TFSource but it looks like the only one with a decent price for GG. For now I'll stick with Amazon or perhaps even give eBay another shot, I used to rack up alot of deals there back in the day. Thanks for the advice!

Anyone who has this, how is the three gold metal part of Grimlock's feet in dino mode? Is it scratched up or looks like it was removed form a metal sprue clumsily? I don't remember the Habro or the first TT one being so bad on his feet, maybe I just have a bad one.

ok so I was thinking since I already have a TRU MP Grimlock, Does anyone know or think if this one might be in scale with the new MP's or will he be the same scale as the original first release?

Should be the same mold, if so, he is in scale the Dinobots were bigger than Prime in the cartoon. And Grimlock is I think the same height as MP-01, so he's in scale.

Grimlock is supposed to be bigger than Prime. MP-08 is SMALLER than MP-10 by a bit so no..... he is not in scale.

My order with MP-08 showed up today, and I'm torn. There's some chipped red paint on his waist, and the chrome on one of his alt mode hands is also chipped. His neck joint also has a hard time holding his head up.

Are these relatively common issues? They're all minor individually, but together are giving me some concern over the longevity of this particular figure. I feel like people on the boards exchange figures for less, but how likely am I to get one that improves on these particular flaws?

Maybe they will do a version 2 Grimlock? But i rather they release other Dinobots than just concentrate on Grimlock for the Dinobot team.

I said I thought he was about as big as MP-01, thought being the operative word.... I must have been thinking about the MP-10 mold I saw him standing next to.

So you want a Masterpiece Optimus Prime Deluxe or a Masterpiece Grimlock Titan?

Of course they are not in scale and never will be! We are talking about Transformers here!

Received mine yesterday from BBTS. Right away the left large leg popped off its ball joint. I pushed it back on but it came off a couple more times afterwards. Right now it seems OK but I have to be very careful when swiveling it; I can feel it trying to swing back off again. The other issue I've noticed is that his robot legs are quite floppy at the hips but I'm planning for him to be in dino mode often so I'm not so concerned there. No paint issues or other defects that I can find.

Not a huge fan of the gimmick to swing his head by moving the tail; it makes the head feel loose and harder to control.

The crown feels very nice, solid and rough. My nine-year-old figured out the trick of putting the flame sword his mouth before I saw it in this thread. I like that feature a lot.
