I heard in the past that Hugo Weaving was never interested to voice Megatron,an he wants to focus on other projects, so if he returns in AOE what voice do you think he will have? You think the humans or Lockdown can put a new vocal processor to him and he would be voiced by another actor while being rebuild into Galvatron?Or maybe he doesn't return and Galvatron is a different Con?Please share your opinion.
After Megatron showed what an awful leader he is - dying twice, relinquishing leadership to SP, failing with an entire army of Cons - I'd welcome someone with more cyber-cojones.
I think we should go with a new Megatron new voice approach! If he's rebuilt, he'd have new vocal processors! So why would he sound the same anyway!
As heavily as Weavings voice was processed, I'm certain they could find someone to do it, and process it with enough effects that it wouldn't even be noticed that it wasn't Hugo. IF Megatron returns, that is... Quite sure the manner in which he was executed in DOTM was intended to be infinite, unlike in TF1.
I can pull off movie Megatron's voice easy without postprocessing so it's not like you especially need to have Weaving to do a role with so little range and variety. Granted, I've acted and I've got a good vocal range, but that doesn't mean the multimillion dollar movies can't just find someone else, is what I'm saying.
More realistically though, they'll probably hire more...mainstream stars. I wouldn't mind a voice actor playing a major role in the movies, but its sadly unlikely.
Frank Welker. First I doubted he would be able to pull off a darker Megatron, but he did great in TF: Prime. Megatron or Galvatron, I don't care, just give the role to Welker. Cullen vs Welker on the big screen would be amazing. And it would be funny if he voiced Galvatron, seeing how in G1 he got replaced by someone else when Megatron turned into Galvatron. This time around, he would be the one replacing someone else.
I always wanted to see John DiMaggio voice Megatron. With this Voice Below, but more Menacing & Deeper. Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Season 1 Episode 15 "Galactus Goes Green" Clip - YouTube
Well, Welker voiced Megatron in the theme park ride, so he could voice Galvatron/Megatron in the film. You never know.
