He looks pretty sweet, actually. Like his Prime design but more dynamic. And visible kibble! Scared me for a second.

I REALLY want a clear(er) picture of Drift and Crosshairs now. Those two are my main points of interest right now.

 

Looks good. Like a cross between Prime BB, and Movie-verse BB.

I'm still not on board with the new bb, but this is my favorite image of him I've seen so far. Maybe there's hope. Time will tell.

I don't know if this has been raised before but don't AOE Prime & Bee have a very samurai/feudal armor look to them?

I'm wondering if these updated designs of the key characters are actually reimagined according to that kind of theme?

With another character apparently being a very Samurai looking bot it could be a recurring theme for the Autobots at least.

If so then perhaps we can hear Optimus Prime shout 'Gaijin' at someone.

 

You can tell that this Bee is still based off of a earlier concept. The hood parts are black as if Bee was going to initially have a black hood and the headlights on his shoulders are still the single circular DOTM Camaro lights.

 

Bumblebee's new design looks great, I wouldn't mind buying his AOE toy. :Runs:

 

I like how they completely redesigned him to look more streamlined and edgy, but kept the stupid-as-shit folded license plate over his crotch.

These slot car tracks are always cool but you need a big living room or basement for this. Not to mention it isn't cheap once you start building out a larger and larger track.

Bumblebee looks like he's always been, even with that license plate on his crotch. I do notice more spikes and what not, definitely getting a samurai-ish feel.

 

I feel so sorry for Hasbro, tasked with making increasingly impossible designs into functional toys.

 

Honestly? They shouldn't have any problems adapting this into a toy. When it really comes down it the only real change is that the front of the car is now on his shoulders instead of his chest. Literally the only things they have to change with their Bumblebee formula is having it split up and go there while coming up with a fake chest and new details for the robot mode.

It's far less of a nightmare then Optimus is, that's for certain.

 

The robot mode, to me, is a glorified re-hash of the original Movie Bumblebee. However, the original wasn't bad, I but I think this is a bit less tasteful for me. Too many angular bits hanging off of him.
