Didn't they just, the impact of the moment is completely lost there. Also the "TRANSFORM!" shout by Prime didn't help in this scene.

That said, I've been watching the Headmasters series for the first time and it is great fun - batshit crazy - but great fun. :)

I'm up to episode 10 I think, so no spoilers please but I'm quite enjoying the whole transtector idea.

One thing, since starting to watch it I do keep loudly exclaiming whatever physical action I am doing in a less then good Japanese accent - which I know is also batshit crazy, but great fun - although I'm not sure my family appreciate it as much as I do. This morning I got my "SHOWER ON!" and right now I need more coffee, so it's time to put the "KETTLE ON!"

    Ah, good times....

Hmm - if MP Red Alert was up in court charged with looking like 'a dogs breakfast' I think on this evidence he would be acquitted rather quickly.

I wasn't trying to entice a war, it's just everyone is so well articulated and appreciative of each other's tastes in here - I found the breakfast comment a little too similar to some other more 'volatile' parts of the boards.

In a nutshell if you don't like something fine just don't insult other peoples tastes and/or items.

If there's a positive to this it's that the pics above really prove how far the MP line has come and although now about a year on, how good that version of red alert is. :)

Hmm, pre-earth alt mode would be awesome.

Headmasters gets a bit quiet around the middle, but it does pick up again. Plus you then get to move onto Masterforce then Victory.

I love Red Alert but hate the faux wheel on the shoulders with a passion, saying that though its not nearly enough to ruin the figure for me by a long shot.
At a time when SS was fetching ridiculous prices I bought RA to experience the new MPs at a more sensible price, a right little gateway drug he ended up being, got em all now which includes having to get SS at a ridiculous price!

Yep, Red Alert was my first post MP10 car - I literally got MP10 and then Red Alert straight after. Needless to say I had to get them all, and like you, got SS from Kapow once I knew there was more incoming, even if it was an inflated price, after Red Alert I had to have the red Lambo!!

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to Masterforce for the characters involved - I have literally no knowledge of the Victory storyline or characters featured, so that one is going to be a nice surprise.

Joining in on the Red Alert talk - I'm so glad about the re-issue news, I definitely want to pick him up for my collection, I think he looks great. I love Sideswipe and the whole Lambo mold really works for me. If finances permit I definitely would like to pick up G2 Swipe as well.

Not entirely sold on G2 Swipe, don't know anything about G2 but I bet he would look good standing with MP 10B.........

Yep, that's exactly why I want him actually, so I can have him as a Decepticon Sideswipe to go along with MP10B. I never followed G2 either so have no connection to that version, but man does Swipe look good in black. :)

I would just love the road saucer alt mode, if they could some how make him look like the WV in robot mode like he was in the pilot ep it would be awesome!

Red Alert! Red Alert! Woo Woo Woo!

    'Nuff said.

No, wait, NOW it's 'nuff said.

I'm in the Red Alert love camp. His shoulder wheels are a cheat but I like that they went to the effort to differentiate him from Swipeswipe, just as they've done with G2 Swipe. The lambor mould still beats out the Datsun brothers for me. Smokescreen's face is a dog's breakfast though...

I remember when the US G2 comic came out (I've never read the UK version) thinking how cool he looked in black, I've always had a soft spot for the Countach anyway.

I have never made it to the end of Headmasters. The scene where Fortress is making silly faces to Daniel breaks me every time & I lose the will to carry on with the series. I've never finished Victory either now I think about it.

I know it's for dramatic purpose but I really despise the need to shout everything they do in the Japanese TF series'. Beast Wars & the Unicron Trilogy are just as bad. Bloody command codes, my arse.

I do find Red Alert to look a bit, off in terms of overall deco.

I don't think he works as well as Sideswipe, I think it's the odd blue bits on him. I don't recall him looking like that in any fiction. The toy had blue knee stickers, but black head and red legs, so that doesn't make sense either.

That said, I do definitely want him if I can get him in hand for less than £50.

EDIT: Just googled some pics and the MP deco is all kinds of wrong, at least as far as cartoon accuracy goes.

For those in doubt, this is how to convey your negative thoughts in an articulated manner. Well said.

Seems theres a lot of Hasbro MP v TT MP stuff on the board again - jeez it does get like groundhog day sometimes.

I am interested to see what Hasbro do with Prowl though. Always intrigued to see what tampos etc they might add and how it affects the overall look.

I see that new Battle Masters thing has cropped up on the Debenham's site. Also got a zoom function for a closer details look at the Optimus and Megatron. £32 ain't cheap (or £3.37 per 100g apparently...),

Dunno if this would count as news so I've mentioned it in here first since it's UK-based info.
