I feel we're straying too far from the topic of bukkake.

I THOUGHT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT BUKKAKE THIS WHOLE TIME!

Ah, speaking of which... hm... could it be...? No, nevermind, it's just one guy.

Soon. Someone will be bound to draw rule 34 Wingblade Bukkake...

    Wat.

I never said anything about respect. I was mainly concerned with how they were going to add more fembots when they shouldn't exist.

    Alrighty then.

Remember when I said "When a guy shouts into a crowd "hey baldy!" don't be offended because you have a full head of hair?" This is what I meant.

If nothing he said partains to you to the point where you can only answer in brief, irrelevent non-sequitrs, Mechafire clearly wasn't talking to you then, was he?

I could ask why you wouldn't block the NSFW tag but... anyways I laugh at your gesture! This internet is filled with places that you could not imagine! Things you could not describe with mere human terms!

    Indeed.

All of the Bumblebees on the pegs, oversaturating retailers the country over...it was all a ploy by Hasbro to try and take down the one man they could not defeat!

So every alien organism must have 2 genders? I like the creativity of making Transformers a truly alien species. There is a culture shock that occurs when humans and Transformers meet. Transformers become introduced to gender from interacting with organics. Its like Beast Wars when they scan and adapt to the energon of the land using synthetic skin. Transformers are all about change. It is the essence of their being.

Accusing those who like the no gender explanation of Transformers of sexism because they like the whole 'no gender thing' when there are plenty of alien races from other science fiction like the Orks (who are all very masculine soccer hooligans) from Warhammer 40000 is rude. You cannot divine what is in people's hearts is because of this. Transformers is a boy toyline. The Transformers are always going to be anthropomorphized as male so that kids can relate to them. (this is the dirty secret of Transformers) I don't agree with your interpretation that sexism is at the root of SP Arcee. Does this mean I am a bad person?

You simply refuse to acknowledge the problem, don't you?

That's not the issue, don't pretend it is. The issue is that if Transformers in IDW didn't have gender, (which isn't true. They did have a gender: male) how come the creation of a SINGLE female led to all of Transformers now having male and female genders?

Why, that's impossible. The only way that could work is if all robots were, by default, male.

This is mostly directed at anyone who thinks the appearence of a woman indicates a need at explanation, or the absence of one indicates true non-gender: that's the problem. That only the introduction of a WOMEN introduces multiple genders, meaning up until now MALE was the default, everyone-has-it gender.

And that's the problem with human beings inventing aliens, especially ones so close to human beings. We can't fathom non-gendered species. It's not something a human being can do. We will always, at a sub-concious level, ascribe a gender-pased personality to any living thing. Hell, we do that with NON-living things. It's in our nature. LITERALLY in our genetic code. This becomes worse when you DO have Transformers, fictional aliens based ENTIRELY on humanity's understandings. They are entirely defined by our perceptions, they have human faces, human personalities, human voices. Trying to NOT make them human is futile, as a truely alien being like the one you describe is beyond our understanding to put into fiction as a RELATABLE character.

Transformers has always had genders, because it is human fantasy. Human fiction. Human-made. Even the most genuine alien being concocted by a human will have vague human traits. Any creature we imagine as a personality we can relate to and follow a narrative about has to have a gender. It's step one of being a character. Tragically it defaults to male, but just because they're all one gender doesn't mena they're NOT GENDERED. Gender is more than a physical trait, it's a mental trait. Men and women will always be different, just like anybody will always be different. It's not sexist, it's not unfair, it's reality. No side is better or worse for it, just the way things are. You can have very masculine women, and very feminine men, but there's subtle differences someone who studies human nature for a living could go on for hours about. But Transformers is, honestly, not worth it. Transformers is escapist science fiction fantasy at it's core. The mere idea of sentient robots is drenched in escapism, the idea of life that is more robust than a human being, capable of amazing feats of endurance and gimmickry. That only works if it's a human at it's core. That's why the idea of Transformers as emotionless automatons is out of the question. That's why recent continuities like Prime insist on adding "biology" to Transformers. A Transformer is, and always will be, a vessel for the viewer or creator to project themselves into. That's just how it is. That's why human characters in Transformers are so often not accepted: they remind us just how small and weak we are while we're trying to project onto the robots. Granted there's much more to it than that, but that's broadened for sake of arguement.

The beauty and irony of this escapsim is it's incredibly indescriminate. Yes, Transformers is primarily a boy's property, but girls like it too. Because as long as the Transformers follow the basline for human personality, anyone can jump in. That's why, even without any girls present, Transformers are still considered male. Because they are an invention of mankind for the sake of narrative entertainment and escapism, and we need that humanity or else the relation fails. It's the same reason Transformers always speak English (or the given language of the region it's released in) to the viewer. It's the same reason they're 99.9999% humanoid and have expressive faces. (even those WITHOUT faces retain a head with an expressive feature, even if that just means the head)

THAT's why genders will always exist, and that's why more girls should be featured. To broaden and vary the universe and increase it's accesibility and keeps things new and exciting. To ignore genders in Transformers, tragically, is to ignore women. No way around it. That's why female characters shouldn't be "explained." Women are not an anomaly, they are part of human understanding of intelligece. That's why "explaining" genders, and Furman's in particular is so degrading. All Transformers are clearly male gendered, but when a women pops up she needs to be explained? Absurd, and it's why just about every continuity doesn't explain it.

Honestly, the "best" explaination for me was "Prime's rib" because it's comedically came close to actually dealing with the issue from a non-gendered perspective. Optimus was told by human women that the Autobots were sexist as there were no female Transformers, something he didn't understand, but tried to appeal anyway. So he made the girliest robot he could, because he had no idea what actually "made" a girl Transformer, so based it off what typically accounts for a woman to humans. And got nothing but grief for it. It's hilariously close to the truth, unintentional though it may be. prime wouldn't know the difference, since female robots never existed, but under demand to produce one he makes a female in humanity's mind what it would look like, only to be lambasted for making it "stereotypical."
