For us it seems like a "no shit sherlock" statement. But, for the masses that haven't been keeping up with TF4 and will only start paying attention after the Superbowl, this is probably news.

Guys, these movies need a human element to drive the story. If it was just TFs, there really would be no need for earth based vehicles and cool earth alt modes either. Now granted, is love to see a few Autobots in their Cybertronian modes too and actually transform into something Cybertronian. But lets wait and see what happens in this movie as rumor is we are supposed to have the longest pure CGI scene in this movie than in any of the past movies :)

Here's hoping that it is faaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more sophisticated (doesn't have to be a masterpiece but please not pre-teen drivel and non-sensible plot development) and far less focused on humans vs. transformers, but expectations of this being the case are still very very low.

I can probably tell you 85% accurately what happens (bar some CGI and details of the ending) from what has been in the press already they have hardly been keeping most of the content secret. The characters names (Decepticon wise) but the rest is pretty well known.

There's little fun things I'd like to know like is that really Mikaela or is it just Lockdown has Mikaela as his Hologram driver for some insane reason.

I suspect Lockdown either 1) does not exist as a robot in the movie he's toy only or 2) He gets "Sidewaysed" as soon as you see him.

Unless some one has spotted the Grey Lamborghini in city scene (I've not) I can only assume it's not a robot or they die before the end of the movie in the city when the dinobots are running about roaring and stepping on things.

As to teen Drivel - sorry you get some sort of "Teen drivel" with the parental angst and teen romance subplot part of the story.

As long as Michael Bay is involved, it will be the same stuff we saw in the last two movies.

    No 'new direction' here.

So... It's reboot, but just not in the traditional sense? Got it.

Agreed 100%. The main reason I like transformers and have never gone for any of the other robot (or even alien) movies is because the concept is so cool.

It just kind of boggles my mind that people would keep saying things like "how about no humans at all" when it's pretty widely accepted that the best scene we've gotten out of these Transformers movies was the landing and reformatting of the autobots in movie 1. Random ass alien alt-modes wouldn't have had anywhere near the impact or sense of awe, because every other franchise out there has that. Transformers is cool because they turn into things that we see every day and that's fun for the imagination.

I just wish we were getting fewer supercars and more normal sporty cars/trucks. Where's the WRX? Where's the 350/370Z? Mustang? Charger? Challenger? Evo? SVT Raptor? That's what I miss....a lot of the original autobots turned into normal cars and trucks, and they were still cool. Throw in an F150, a Wrangler, etc. Obviously the movies aren't limited to GM cars anymore...

What if all this talk that AOE is not a reboot is a distraction to fool people about the actual truth? The truth that AOE is in fact a reboot..?
