Because if there is ANYTHING this generation of kids needs, it's MORE instant gratification.

If you think it is, you need to stop being ridiculous and look at what Hasbro is actually saying and not what you are afraid of.

Generations is staying EXACTLY as is and just as aimed at us. They have said this. REPEATEDLY.

The simplicity stuff is aimed at younger kids.

-ZacWilliam, and it is a VERY good idea.

    No :lol

I find it easier to just stare at it and post something that makes other people annoyed.

I literally just rammed my face against my monitor until I lost control of my bodily functions and died. That size and extra detail is a slap to the face of proper OG gravity bots aesthetic and I don't think I will be buying all of them.

i just want good looking toys of each character from the movie.. that's all i want.

i'm not sure if this is going to capture any magic for anyone though..

all of us loved the toys when we were little.. if i were little and had a transformer that simply changed automatically.. i would've thought of it more than a gimmick rather than a quality franchise worth getting into.

Reading through this thread just made me hate this fandom even more...

Oh how the mighty have fallen...

On the bright side, I'm eagerly awaiting the Generations-AOE figures. Don't let us down, HasTak!

Glad I got out of the movie line! Thank God for TT's MP line! While I completely understand why they're doing this, I would've seen this as a negative even when I was 8. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

One problem is the movie designs don't lend themselves to easily engineered, easily transformable, highly articulate, screen-accurate toys. Bay's TFs have more and more become walking piles of... stuff with a random taillight or fender thrown on here or there with each successive movie. I just wish Hasbro could create more synergy with their toy designers and movie and tv concept artists so that everything works and is consistent on both the screen and toy form. To be fair, though, that's been an issue since 1984. At least the MP line is correcting that for us G1 nuts.

I also gotta say that that packaging is dull as dishwater. That TF: Legacy artbook coming out this year is only going to emphasize how pathetic the current packaging is.

And can't believe they gave them articulation. I look upon my gravity bots Prime and look at this and feel shame.

I just don't understand why people use the word "literally" so much. A girl I work with said "I literally died when she said that..." Uh...

I think it'll all be fine. Buy the stuff you like and don't buy what you don't like. What's so hard about that? This won't affect Generations...

You won all the internets, well done!

Anyway, not arsed, it's the same every line, if anything Generations has always een semi-simple anyway, RTS Jazz, The Seeker mold, and Jetfire all come to mind, and they are some of the best we have had. if it means we get good looks Vehicle and Robot modes i really don't see the problem.

I dunno man, springloaded or automatic transformations like bot shots, crash bots, activators... even gravity bots to an extent... they're fun as hell. There's a lot of play value there, like being able to play through a scenario and then mimic the instancy of on-screen transformations as opposed to having to manually unfold an increasingly complex figure. Obviously, there's something to be said for complex figures that are highly articulated and massively detailed, but there's room on the other side of the spectrum as well, especially when you remember how simple so many of the early transformers were and how FUN they were even then.

Wait, where are you getting Masterpiece figures for under 50 bucks? Used? They don't even go on clearance for that much.

Pffft. Casual. You didn't even draw blood, I bet.

    Ahahaha this but unironically

I'm fine with this. Just more transformers I won't feel the need to get. Unless they get exclusive characters like that, then I might buy some. Otherwise, I'll probably just get one for my little bro and that's it. But I'm glad we do still get the complex transformations and stuff.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Transformers isn't going anywhere. But you need to realize fanboys are stupid and unable to rationalize anything. Luckily we outnumber them, but they're a lost cause.

Let them believe in their stupid notions while us wiser fans know better.
