Because Hasbro can't trademark Hot Rod anymore. He's going to be called Rodimus no matter what.

the serial number for all of the figures is 32871

I'll try to take some pics of each figure tomorrow morning. I was supposed to receive these LAST Friday but they arrived last night. Fun.

You only need the last 2 digits. The other 5 numbers are just the production code. 32871 = produced on the 287th day of 2013. IIRC the 1 refers to the shift or something. Regardless, those 5 digits might be different depending on when you find them.

Fast_Draw and Puma, I do believe my brain just exploded. I had no idea, but now that you've mentioned it, I looked at my own personal packages, and you're right. I'll adjust the Kre-O Wiki accordingly by tomorrow. I appreciate your help guys.

Thanks for the codes, I always try to keep 'em in my wallet for when I see 'em.

I'll get 'em all, I'm sure, but Hasbro REALLY needs to make some new helmets...

It's killing me that these aren't at retail yet. I think I may get more excited and impatient for kreons than I do waiting for an MP to show up.

Why can't they use the name now if Hasbro used it before?

It's because trademarks work differently now than back in the day. Terms like 'Hot rod' is a term now considered too generic to trademark. The same goes for many other Transformers names that are everyday words.

Strong names are ones that don't really mean anything, or are words combined into a new, nonexisting one. Slipstream for example, is a common word, and would probably not make a valid trademark, but Slipstrike is a totally new word that would work.

It's a wonder Hasbro's managed to hold on to names like 'Ratchet' and 'Jazz' for so long, even if they have needed to add 'Autobot' prefixes to stengthen the trademark.

Me neither but then again I stopped collecting after the first wave of Kreos, I'm surprised it's still going strong.

BBTS has cases of them for sale. Buy one and split it with someone else. Saves you time.

Not sure why you'd think that. Lego styled toys have been around longer that TFs have. People love this stuff. The Kreons are also a great way to HAVE EVERY CHARACTER and not give up a whole room in your house either to do so. I personally love them. Very glad they fixed the issue where they cover up the chest art with stupid plates that did nothing. Just got this wave and love the Rodimus and Cyclonus. Cool figs.

The play sets on the other hand are hit or miss. I buy them for the Kreons...

I couldn't agree more with you, puma. So could you please share with us where you were able to find and purchase wave 4?

BBTS is showing their pre-orders are out of stock at the moment. They are showing a release of 1st quarter 2014, so it could be any time before they hit retail.

Mine have shipped from there and are waiting with Parcelforce in the uk to be delivered so they've had their first wave of stock in at least.
