HAPPY NEW YEARS GUYS! I hope that everyone had a safe and enjoyable New Years Eve last night! Now onto more pressing matters... LOL! Has anyone found the new 4th Collection (yellow top bags) of the Kre-O MC's and/or (more importantly) Combiners Menasor & Computron at local retail (Target or otherwise)? 'Cause seriously...y'all know how much your old pal Marty loves his Stunticons! ;-) Let a brother know! ~Marty
Ive been looking but have only been finding anywhere from 2 to 4 cases of series 3. Burnsville Target and the Apple valley Target on cedar. BBTS has them instock last I checked, but I sure don't want to pay $60 for a case of 24 when I only want 4 out of the 12.
Tempting. I'd be interested in the City Commander add-on, but I have a Classics Ultra Magnus already. I'd need to offload one. I wonder how long until the stores start to restock/rebuild after the holidays. I hope to see a Rhinox in the wilds.
I can agree with what some others have said about parting with the items you aren't that taken with. On the other hand, I recommend ditching the idea of displaying everything at once. I have been trying to display toys for 20 years or so. I have come to find that I would rather maintain a smaller space like a detolf or two and change it up every month or so.
I am not new here, but I have not been active here for quite a bit. Are there Twin Cities area TF meetups that any of you participate in? I have a ton of stuff, in particular broken vintage TFs, that I would love to swap meet with. There's a lot of parts/pieces/etc from most eras that I am looking for, too.
Yup, we have one coming up very soon! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-conventions-get-togethers/254447-minnesota-meetup.html
Gotta love ringing in the new work year with a memo saying my department is getting phased out / moved to Chicago. The joy of office politics when your headquarters is in another state.
Bummer! Hopefully it pans out for you. It always makes me wonder how corporations decide to layoff/phaseout employees during the holidays. Do they use a dartboard with half labeled "before xmas" and the other half labeled "ASAP after xmas"? I am sure they see this type of thing coming within the prior business quarter.
The funny thing is....the internal memo with the information was marked as "first thing 1/3/14", but was originally authored first week of december by the VP in charge of our group.
That sucks, j-mc...sorry to hear. Okay, Fett, what the hell does post 29376 mean? I keep seeing because it's the first post of this page for me...
Wow, just wow. It blows my mind the absolute disregard and chaos these companies cause in peoples lives when they new full well in advance this was going to happen. IMO the right thing to do is give as much notice to your employees as possible. Ya, of course people are gonna start jumping ship, but hey, the day before the same employees were busting to make sure the company was successful.
Was all the rage back in the day for a week or three....I grew up in Vegas and went through just about ALL the major music fads growing up. Oh and sorry to hear jmclaughlin. My company does that every Nov/Dec but I've been there almost 10 years now and okay so far. Wish you well...
Ya know kibble, with all the hate you spout about everything you'd fit in perfect where I work. It's constant shit-talking around here. <3 you...
