I finally found Dreadwing this morning. I couldn't wait to get this figure.

HE'S FUCKING PURPLE!!!  

I bought the Calvin Johnson version of this mold to have a purple Galvatron but now I have 2 that are purple. Is Hasbro color blind now?

I don't understand people anymore. They just don't make any sense anymore. I give up! 

I really hope this is a production mistake like that brown Hiss Tank they released & later corrected.

do you not look at figures before you buy them? Should have been able to tell that it was purple  

 

Because Dreadwing is an homage to the G2 figure, which was purple.

 

maybe you should understand the concept of the figure before you try to understand people, because you are not making any sense either.

OMG! You guys seriously don't know the difference between DARK BLUE & PURPLE????? G2 Dreadwing is DARK BLUE, LIGHT BLUE & RED!


Wow! You know what? Forget I mentioned it. I guess that means Optimus Prime is also purple. I always thought he was red & blue but I guess he's actually red & purple.

   I'm holding G2 Dreadwing in my hand right now & there is no purple anywhere on him. BB is black & purple. G2 Dreadwing is DARK BLUE!

Those seem to match very well to me. I've never had an original G2 so couldn't compare, but that looks dead on. So to Spider, and this thread, all I have to say is facepalm.

This looks purple to you? That's funny! The art on the comic is blue & the toy in this picture matches the comic cover.

I was reading some other Transformers forums & the wonderful people that post on TFW have an absolutely shitty reputation. Can't imagine why!?!

 

Dark blues appear purple to me, I can't help it. It's always been a issue for me since I was born seeing like that.

So can we please act like adults instead of children?

 

I think that is the closest you will get to that color. I think you can try emailing hasbro and claim yours is defective if you want.

 

Yeah, that looks purple to me. Even if you think it looks blue in the promos, the card has a CLEAR plastic bubble on it...so when you saw it in person, you could have passed, but you saw it was purple and still bought it...your fault at that point.

I'm dark blue/purple colour blind too. I have Dreadwing and I thought he was dark blue too. Awkward for me! I can sorta see the purple now someone's pointed it out, but I don't see why anyone would be bothered by it.

They look exactly the same colours to me. That picture really shows how awesome this mold is for Dreadwing too.

 

Accuracy of the colors aside, this is definitely a case of Caveat Emptor. Now, in most cases it's hard to say how "color accurate" a figure is to earlier incarna-

Counterpoint, someone who never owned the original figure was able to better understand what the homage figure would look like and why, whereas you seem to be having serious problems with the whole affair.

As someone who DID own the original G2 figure, however, this new version is pretty spot-on color accurate. Gloriously, gloriously G2 accurate. Dat G2.

So if you're going to keep throwing a tantrum and attacking the user base, I'm just going to start reporting you, and I don't think I'm the only one.

You really sound like you'd prefer to be a member of a different community though. Any particular reason you aren't?
