I'm beginning to think that anyone who rags on Drift now, 3 or 4 years later, hasn't actually read anything with Drift in the last year or two.

That's a very telling statement. We didn't care in elementary school, because we were neither old enough to ask any real questions nor mature enough to understand any real answers - and you're right, it didn't matter. Now we're older, and psychologically, we HAVE to have explanations for everything, even if it is nothing more than the fiction we loved as children and love to this day. It's part of the reason myths were (and in some cases, still are) so prevalent.

Yes...almost every page had me saying "Wait - what?" I went back and re-read it a few times, to make sure I was really reading what I thought I was reading, and to make sure I hadn't missed some crucial piece of information that would fix the whole thing. There was none to be found. Even the whole pronoun difference that Arcee her-/him-/it - self pointed out didn't make sense; in a genderless species, why would there even be a concept of either 'he' or 'she'? In any case, I'm looking forward to the changes that are yet to be wrought, but I don't want the concept of female Transformers to become unnecessarily cumbersome and deep.

Actually, comparing Windblade to Drift might be quite appropriate - Drift was a forced meme joke of a character that everyone hated, but in the hands of a capable writer (Roberts) was fleshed out into a viable and interesting member of the cast.

Then again, this is the fandom that, based on a single promotional image for TF:A, decided it was the end of the franchise and the worst thing that ever happened (and 90% of the people pouring haterade over that image wound up being big fans of the show, of course).

Honestly I don't think they will screw up Windblade like they did with Drift at first. With Drift they didn't know how people would react or expect but now that years have passed and Drift been written much more competently. They're going to attempt to avoid the same mistakes that were made with Drift.

So, you've officially become the IDW version of a Prime fan? Cool.

It's better than being a MTMTE fan nowadays. If it ain't MTMTE than it's no good too those people.

I'm a MTMTE fan and I don't think that's true. I enjoy the live action movies, Animated, Beast Era, Cybertron, Rescue Bots.

Even Prime, which I wasn't the biggest fan of, had some decent ideas. Poorly handled, but ideas that I thought were cool.

C'mon not all people who love MTMTE are like that. Every series is going to have it's share of fans who love it to the extreme. Even shows like Prime,BW and Animated have their share of it. That's like saying all G1 fans are Geewunners when it's clear that's far from the truth.

The TMNT movie is coming out next year? How come I haven't seen any photos or posters from the movie?

Your post was not written by James Roberts so I have chosen to ignore it.

Seriously though, what's up with all the generalization on this fricking board? This is how fights start, knock it off.
