I went with Huff for accuracy but Krank is growing up on me. I'll probably end up getting both and keeping the one that'll scale better with MP Bumblebee.
I'm loving the chrome on X-Transbots Huffer, but I am hung up on smokestacks becoming the arms. I am going with Cubex. I might make like many others here and get the X-Transbots Pipes tho.
As I'm a hardcore G1 fan, it's Cubex for me. Plus, to my eye, Cubex Huffer is the better looking of the two offerings.
^ Same Boat. I got Cubex Huffer from Edbomber ( on sale) and the only thing I am waiting on is the release date for Pipes, as it seems they might be delayed.
The newest pics of Krank all chromed out, plus this thread have convinced me to go ahead and buy him. It's a nice updated figure.
IMO the cubex huff looks way better and is the way to go. My major gripes with krank are the face sculpt looks bad, the wheels on the sides of his legs in robot mode, chrome arms, and the general appearance of him in robot mode looks like he's on steroids and/or HGH. Also, the alt mode looks old, dated, and not like huffer. It reminds me of how mp-03 starscream's alt mode was more realistic but failed to represent the cartoon character. Where as cubex i feel hit the nail on the head for huffer's alt mode. Last I feel the cubex huff is more to scale with the other official and third party mp's
