again that's exactly how he looked on the TV show. I wouldn't blame the toy designers. They got him spot on (at least in bot mode). Just means the CGI model the toy was based on wasn't the best. I personally agree that the Tankor design is not the most visually appealing. But for better or worse, it is what it is.

Crosscut's head sculpt looks a bit Prime-ish. Would seem to be a good base for some repaint into a Prime character in some setting. Perhaps a "Classics" Sentinel Prime... or "Classics-Alternity" Convoy.

I think you mean Macdonald's Happy Meal.

I think it's very possible they have extended their upscaled cyberverses toys into the generations toyline.

I think story line wise, being he and the vehicon generals were all designed by Megatron an admited unstable tyranical crazy guy! And their designs reflected such.. so when you say he looks simplistic, blame Megatron! Or at least what the designers thought Megatron would design for his perfect "hitler-esq" pure Cybertron.. the writers gave BM layers! And that scared the more simpleminded tformer fans..

Excellent point! I'm with you, Megatron is the reason for the poor looking toy. This also reminds me when Grimlock, Jazz and Bumblebee were made into pretenders. I never forgave Ratchet for that, and was happy when he died.

I'm saving my money and not focusing on any of the Beast Wars figures. They look cool but not for me.

You guys must follow Happy Meal toys and Playskool toys pretty closely, then, and let me say this, there must be some bad fucking ass toys from there if Tankor is of their caliber. I'm impressed for sure.

And yet, even with the whining about Tankor... he still looks better than Armada Starscream and Scoop. Funny that.

(Tankor is not nearly as much of an abomination as the upscaled Legions figures either, the hyperbole is strong with these posters!)

Tankor's alt mode doesn't look so good.

But everything else is a must have!

Precisely. The Vehicon aesthetic has its roots in utilitarianism, a philosophy ubiquitous with autocratic, nationalistic systems. They are simple, useful, and deadly.

Depth and character development, how DARE they! But from a fandom that generally gets off to Animated it comes as no surprise.

I know this more about the deluxe figures but what about the voyager figures? Does anyone have an idea when we are suppose to see Voyager Whirl? Does he come out in this wave?

I believe voyagers are released in their own waves distinct from deluxes. According to bbts, whirl should be coming sometime in January.
