What if you made a new chromedome replacement head for Animated Rodimus? That mold works better as chromedome anyways.

Honestly I don't see how the TFCC could throw a fit then, since the head would need quite a bit of modifications both in fit and design to work on animated rodimus' body.

Awesome! It'll be great to see your pictures! Hope everything works out for you :)

Well...the point is that the head still has to be modern looking enough to fit a modern body (at least I think so) so the G1 styled noggin might not be suitable. Unless...unless I make him an actual headmaster...

Based on pictures I've seen on the net, yeah, TFA Rodimus does make a good base for Domey...

    Hey guys,

Shapeways reported a small part issue with Trivia (his feet are too small and keep getting lost/errors on the print bed).
The model has been fixed and reuploaded. Just want to give a heads up to those who ordered him about this issue, and I sincerely apologise for any delays or inconvenience caused.

Let me know if you are personally affected by this issue?

Ariel, I'm completely okay with you staying away from a Chromedome head out of respect for TFCC.

I wouldn't mind a new MTMTE style head for Animated Rodimus?

My god.... my Trivia is has been stuck in "processing" for 2 and a half weeks now and is holding up a LARGE order of parts I need. I may have to cancel it just to get the other items!! Sorry Ariel!

Update! I kept the shins and calves black for altmode sake. So it's not colored exactly like the comic.

    Agreed..

Oh no...I wonder why is it stuck at Shapeways...might it be the issue with the feet?

Thanks for the pictures! They look sweet together. Trivia's even tall enough to hold hands!

Finally got mine... AND I LOVE IT! (pardon the blurry pic)

Feet turned out fine. Joints are a bit loose though. But you know what, I think SW polished this even if I ordered WSF. I think it happens when you have polished items in the same order.

Anyway, the joints should be easy to fix. Can't wait to paint this up. I'm so HAPPY!

Thanks Ariel. And I will definitely use that alternate back that you included ;)

Oh the pic is not blurry at all! Looking great Arch :)

It's just cute seeing now all these robo couples around the world. This sounds wrong, but Trivia is almost like a mail-order bride :O

Polished or no, the surface finish looks great. Do share pics when he's all painted up!

:lolol  Chromedome will take his mate any way he can!

Mine should be here Monday. I kind of nervous to do the sanding & painting so he might stay white for a while until I work up the gumption. He'll just be Rewind's ghost for a while.

Not that I want to accept the possibility that Rewind is dead or anything. :cry

Rewind lives! That's what I yelled outloud after assembling this guy. What a truly awesome creation. It's brilliant the way he fits together, looks totally perfect in bot mode and turns into a comic-accurate alt mode. The alternate backplate is very clever, I wasn't expecting that detail! This thing needs to be mass-produced in a factory so I can buy several of them without having to do the work myself. :thumb

As for assembly, most joints popped right into place but I've got a couple areas I'll have to work on more when I get home and have proper tools. The tiny shoulder joint pegs needed to be shaved down considerably, which I started doing at work with an Xacto and will finish later with sandpaper. The hip joints can't be pushed into place all the way. Either the balls are too big or the sockets aren't dug out enough. Those will get some sandpapering as well!

Regardless, I expect to have to do some work and refinement with a 3D printer kit so those are not complaints. I love this thing to pieces. Thank you fakebusker for creating this. :D

Thank you Eriku for sharing. Do post photos when you're done!

Regarding the shoulder joint pegs, are you referring to the tiny ones on the outside that are supposed to lock the shoulder pads in place? Be careful not to shave them down too much or the pads will fall off too easily..

Yes, I suspect the hip ball sockets may still have powder trapped inside. Some digging is in order.

Glad you like Trivia! This makes everything worth it :3

The peg circled in orange wasn't anywhere even close to fitting through the hole. After shaving down the sides I got it to go through but it's still too tight. The shoulder pads still fit fine so any further alterations should probably be hole-widening instead of peg narrowing. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't event think of that aspect. :redface2:

    ::EDIT::

Widened the holes, dug out the hip sockets, sanded a few areas and now he fits together beautifully. After the holidays I'll get some finer sandpaper and paints and really bring this little guy to life. :D

^That's awesome! The design and engineering that went into this is incredible! Though I can't unseen the puckering lips face in the second picture.

Ya know... give him peg handles and he'd make a decent looking blaster.

Could even fit a bit of extra detail in the abdomen area that can transform into said 5mm handle I bet.
