Generations is really charging full-tilt into hyper-accuracy to a given character model.

 

Scoop looks pretty nifty to me. If only I was capable of enjoying it without the voice in my head chanting for a remold into Scrapper.

And the the head is orange, not yellow,
And one of the targetmasters has a single barrel, versus two as the original.

Three strikes = fail.

 

I glad your overactive nitpicking means that I might have a better chance to find it.... as soon as its released.

 

So... I don't see any blue plastic on Scoop. That's odd.

 

As awesome as the mold is, I preferred the earlier shown colors - he needs more yellow on him to break off the same orange, so the original's yellow helmet and showel would look better on him.

 

Instant pick up. (Doesn't hurt that my favorite color is orange.)

 

I remember chasing after Scoop with I was 10 years old, mainly because he was the only Autobot double targetmaster I didn't have. Now, with all the preorders sold out, I find myself chasing him again....

 

I'm still waiting for my Scavenger repaint of Armada Hoist!

I could see Takara skipping this one: They never got the G1 double targetmasters in the 80s

 

They didn't have the comics, either, but they got United Straxus.

 

Hopefully Takara's paint scheme for Generation Scoop will be much better

 

It is definitely possible they pass on him. They haven't even done Black Shadow yet.

I am really hoping they do Scoop though as he could really use some work. He isn't terrible but he is far from as exciting as he should be.

 

Welp, was on the fence before, but now I really want that Scoop. Bit more orange than his old self, but I can live with that. This is one time where I don't mind if Takara skips, although I am curious to see what if anything they do with the mold.

Rather interesting how the minicon team combines. Really was expecting nothing but pegs.

 

Takara didn't skip Thuderwing or Bludgeon. Why would they skip Scoop?

 

Just curious, is anyone else looking at this Scoop mold and thinking its got great repaint potential for Decepticon Scrapper?

I have to admit, I'm willing to buy 2 so that I can paint a custom Scrapper. He was always 1 of my favorite G1 figures as a kid.
