Sounds like news to me. Hasbro's sales numbers show the opposite - more people are getting TFs...

 

Which is one reason why Hasbro doesn't feel the need to change their methods of delivering such great figures. I've only opened up 3 figures; Springer, Sandstorm and Orion Pax and they are miles better than last years Generations offerings.

 

It sounds more to me like you want to declare Transformers as "dead" because you don't like it.

Still unsold on Starscream, but the Minicons have won me over. Skywarp is still my only priority in the wave.

 

Very dissappointed with this starscream. I know it was a pipe dream, but I wish we got something in size half way between this one and the armada voyager, with improved articulation. The original didn't look the best, particularly from the top or behind, and this one doesn't improve on that either. Hopefully the takara version's paint apps will salvage the figure.

 

Unless TakaraTomy gives us a more toon-accurate Starscream, pass.

She looks like a little fem choppa. I'm guessing to counteract the Legends Airachnid. Either that or someone at Hasbro has decided all small helicopters must be feminine.

 

Minicon team team bough 2 or 3 time over once they're released. Love 'em. My juries still on Starscream, but then there were only a few designs from Armada that interested me.

That I'm aware Windshear is a fem!

 

Runway has high heels as well & no claimed that one was fem...

Windshear has a build comparable to Arcee - Transformers Prime Cyberverse - TFW2005 IMHO

Yes, I know it's technically G1 Starscream, but... still. Just say it's a Micromaster or whatever.

I like him. I do indeed agree that there are a considerable amount of places where paint would help, and when I pick him up, I'll probably add those paint apps myself. I felt the same way about Beast Hunters Predaking at first, but about a half hour and some plack and gold paint helped it out tremendously.

 

Bullshit. Orion Pax, Megatron, Bumblebee, Trailcutter, Hoist, and Thundercracker are all made out of perfectly fine plastic. The same goes for Springer, Sandstorm, and Blitzwing.

You know, for what it's worth, Armada Starscream isn't that bad. However, say what you will about the original and the arms, blockiness, he's still got sound effects, a minicon, a better gimmick with the wing sword, and he's a far sight bigger. I would say if you can't locate an original, this is your go to for scale, but keep in mind, this new version is the IDW universe version.

But if you want to know why Starscream in the Armada universe was so unbelievably awesome, go get or find the show.

Transformers are selling better right now than they did even in the 80's, and current Generations toys are using the same quality of plastic that Hasbro/Takara has used for the entire CHUG line.
