Each movie they get an original actor from the G1 cartoon to voice their original character or a new character for the movie.

Movie 1: They got Peter Cullen to reprise as Optimus Prime

Movie 2: They got Frank Welker to reprise as Soundwave and other character(s).

Movie 3: They got Leonard Nimoy to voice Sentinel Prime.

Who do you think might be the next original actor? From the rumors I've heard:

Drift: Drift was never in the G1 cartoon, was he? So I don't think there was an original actor for him, unless they get someone from the G1 cartoon to voice him.

Hound: The original actor who voiced him passed on.

Lockdown: They could get Lance Henriksen, but he was never in the G1 cartoon.

Galvatron: I don't think they can get Leonard Nimoy to come back since he voice Sentinel Prime.

Crosshairs: Neil Ross was an original actor from G1, but Crosshairs is not valuable enough to get his original actor to reprise.

Stinger: Don't get me started.

Grimlock: Now Gregg Berger could be a possibility, because of all those rumors and interviews with him.

 

Me Grimlock say, keep friend close,but enemy closer

 

Of that list or any other, I'd say Berger is the only real possibility.

 

If prowl done how ends up in this movie or the follow on movies, I'd like to see Michael Bell do his voice  

 

Right now I can only hope the Sonic is Prowl.

I was also thinking whoever the Sonic car is, might have his original actor.

 

Why is Leonard Nimoy so crazy an idea? Movies reuse actors all the time. Hell, Frank Welker is like the entire Decepticon army in the second two.

 

for one thing, they usually get a new original actor for the newest movie, not the original actor from the last movie. They always get that actor to reprise for a future movie.

 

I would like Patrick Stewart as Galvatron because he was in that second Star Trek show, like Leonard Nimoy was in the first. OR (as a LOST fan) Michael Emerson as Galvatron! Because he's awesome. (He voiced the Joker, too!)

And dude you forgot Charlie Adler.

 

Yeah, but Charlie didn't reprise as Silverbolt, he played Starscream. But I think it's mostly major roles.

 

Gregg Berger if no one else.
And who cares if Lance Henriksen wasn't a VA in G1? I want him to reprise his role as Lockdown.

If so, he wouldn't reprise as Rodimus. He'd probably voice maybe Crosshairs, Drift or Sonic car.

 

Or Terry O'Quinn. He was on Star Trek as well

What about Liam Neeson for Lockdown? Imagine his "I will find you, and I will kill you" in a slightly deeper, faintly sythesized voice and I think it works.

 

I would REALLY like to see Terry O'Quinn as Galvatron. He's one of my favorite actors. He would be AWESOME!

 

I'm realizing most Characters don't talk like the characters from the G1 cartoon or have the personalities of the G1 characters. Starscream wasn't all, "I should be leader", Soundwave wasn't all, "Laserbeak, Operation blank", Mirage/Dino in the original cartoon he was all gentle and peace, but in the movie he was all fight and toughness, and Bumblebee can talk in the G1 cartoon.

I'm guessing if Gregg Berger reprises as Grimlock, he won't be like, "Me Grimlock King" or "Me Grimlock Not Nice Dino" or Me Grimlock whatever".
