When you write something you think is good and no one likes it for no apparent reason.

You'll encounter that a lot in life, and believe me, people not liking your fanfics is the least of your concerns in that department.

Old people driving cars who try to use cellphones while going 60+mph in the left hand lane. Stupid teenagers in that position are bad enough, but damnit granny this is NOT the time to figure out how to text when you're holding up half a mile of freeway traffic the day before Thanksgiving!

My brown dress pants are getting pretty tight around the waste. About time for replacement. My wardrobe is like a bucket with holes in it....

Today it took me an hour and three quarters to get out of the Great Yarmouth Asda car park. When I drove in I should've realised something was up as there was a long queue of cars going in and also a long queue of cars trying to get out. Of course by then it was too late and I was already in.

But I'm a normal person and I just assumed it was some weird temporary backlog and things would clear by the time I came back out of the store. But no... I didn't know it at the time but ahead of me lay an hour and three-quarters to drive less than five hundred yards. I have never in my entire life experienced such a thing. Even on Christmas Eve when loads of motorists are trying to find rare vacant parking spaces at packed stores and it's mind-bendingly busy I've never had to spend more then twenty minutes getting out of a store car park.

Of course things would've moved a lot quicker if people in the exit queue didn't keep letting other cars from side parking bays cut in rather than making them loop around and join the back of the exit queue like they should've. For every car that cut in it added like ten more minutes to my wait to get out.

Now I'm generally a courteous driver, but after half an hour of moving maybe ten yards I decided no fucking way was I letting anyone cut into the queue in front of me. Not even the twat that almost took my front wing off trying to force me to let him cut in.

Never did find out why the traffic was so fucked up. The moment I finally got out of the car park things went back to normal flow. It was just like that car park had gotten stuck in a traffic black hole.

Why not ask people what they don't like about it instead of assuming they don't like it for no reason?

Cause it's far easier to assume everything you do is teh awesome, and that people just don't get you. It works for Michael Bay :bay

Can never seem to find a shirt that goes with these reddish-rust casual dress pants.
Or even shoes for that matter....

There's got to be at least one who would. Try asking for constructive criticism. See how you can improve it and stuff. Get some ideas from other writers perhaps?

Or ask people who liked your story how they'd want to see it improve, since you've already got their attention and they're likely to want to read more, better work.

The most important thing you should be doing at this point in improving your writing is... well... reading. Not other people's fanfiction, but as many books as you can, and then analyses of those books by others. Find books regarded as "classics", find out why they're considered classics, and then read them and see if you can use what they do to improve your own writing. This is where all those lectures on literary devices and analyses from english class come in handy.

Other than that, the only thing I can suggest is that you be absolutely and completely open to criticism of any kind, and sincerely committed to doing whatever it takes to improve your writing. You may not agree with what people say, but if you go on the defensive you'll push them away and they won't give you any more criticisms which MIGHT be useful. Just take what people say, thank them for their criticisms, sincerely try to figure out where they're coming from and whether you can benefit from it, and then decide whether or not to accept it or reject it in relation to future work.

People who treat other people like shit because they don't have a somewhat normal family and by normal i mean mom and dad are married (or at least were when person was born) and person has a somewhat decent relationship with both parents

In other words people who treat me like shit because my father and i hate each other and my parents were never (thankfully) married .

It also annoys me how people seem to ignore my opinion when they ask for peoples opinions and when they ignore what i say

I've been there. Not that literal Asda carpark, but I've been in that situation and I know the feeling too well. I generally do everything in my power to avoid such situations, but there've been times. Never an hour and three quarters though, christ on a bike that's bad.
