Since Impossible Toys made the Tetra Jets, does anyone think that they or another 3rd party company will make the other cybertronian alt modes we saw in episode 1? Kinda like the Jazz pictured below:

Also if they did, who you guys buy them? I know Jazz, Wheeljack and Bumblebee are all popular characters.

Weren't the Tetrajets and their poor sales the reason Impossible Toys wound up?

I'd agree with this idea, the poor sales from the tetra jets I think would discourage other companies from attempting to market similar toys.

I would certainly be interested. I might eventually buy one of the Tetrajets, too, although I don't like the bot modes.

It wasn't because the Tetra jets were Tetra jets; it was because the figures themselves just, simply put, royally f'ing sucked. But if someone who actually knew what they were doing came along and decided to pump out a "CHUG" companion line featuring Cybertronian designs (think: War Within or whatever) AND made sure they were quality, they'd sell just as well as any other (well done) 3rd party figures.

Was going to make this point... which I 100% agree with... they were ugly as all hell. I think people would be all over some well designed Tetra jets.

I might eventually get the Not Thundercracker, but I have never handled one in person before. I would really like a Jazz though

I have never handled one so can't say if it sucks or not, but it doesn't have to be impossible toys. What if MMC or TFC or FP took a shot at them? I know those guys usually put out great quality items.

Maybe someone else will eventually re-do them?

You don't have to handle them - just look at them. The robot modes are epically awful and don't remotely fit in with anything.

I doubt it'll happen any time soon since most of the good 3rd parties seem pretty set on filling "CHUG" and Masterpiece gaps these days.

I must be the only one that doesn't have any Seekers in my CHUG display... was never too happy with the Classics mold (of course I have less that 10 official CHUG products that I like enough to display). Are there any other options I'm not aware of? I think Tetra Jets would fit in great... I've got plenty of Cybertronian stuff in that display.

I like to think that the other 3rd parties are smart enough to see that Cybertronian modes are an easy sell. Anyone can look at Impossible Toys' stuff and see why it didn't sell. Everything that company did SUCKED. All of their stuff was cheaply made, floppy, easily broken, and looked like it belonged at Dollar Tree. Somebody like Jizai could make a ton of money by making one solid Tetrajet mold and coloring it 6+ different ways.

I thought their Quints were OK, as well as the miniature Sparkplug & Spike figures. I have the Inquirata and Prosecutor figures, and Sparkplug and Spike spend most of their time in one of my G1 Optimus cabs. :)

EDIT - that Bumblebee design looks quite alright. Should be easy to copy, too.

Impossible Toys Quints, and the Diaclone sized Witwicky figures were very nice. The Alicon wasn't bad either.

dunno--that 'bee looks kinda sloppy. as for the tetrajets, the bot modes do look pretty shabby, though the jet mode looks cool.

I don't know if Wheeljack is possible as a toy. Jazz still has the same shape as his Earth mode so he's possible. We've seen BB toys so he's possible. Wouldn't be surprised with a Soundwave lightpost toy at some point.

I am SOOO down for this
I've been waiting for this, i want more of the G1 Cybertron designs

AGREE!! The Terra jets that Imptoys made SUCKED! the looked like ASS hats and the reviews i saw of them online ...JESUS christ, the transformation took like 4 years! lol

if someone were to do them, CHUG style, with a GOOD transformation like the CHUG starscream molds...then HELL yeah Id get them all

I also want the CHUG Cybtron G1 Jazz and Bee... soundwave can be done wiht the current molds, if you know what your doing...

any others? were there any others alt modes ever even pictured in the G1 cartoon? I cant remember!

I think it was the crappy sculpts that killed it, not the concept.
