Well they do have robot modes, don't they? Cybertronian and beasts/Dinosaurs.

 

I mean do you actually think that grey truck is Grimlock? I don't think so, because in both truck modes Optimus looks bigger that the grey truck and in robot and trex mode Grimlock is bigger than Optimus.

 

It would be cool if the Dinobots had dinosaur/kaiju esque proportions for a robot mode.

I know it's self-centered but at this point my main thing about having the Dinobots in the movie is that maybe it will be the kick in butt Hasbro needs to do all five dinobots in the same style. Really don't care if they have a robot mode in the movie because Hasbro will just add a robot mode for the toy release.

Hum, you know in a way I might actually like it better if Hasbro had to come up with the robot mode for the toy release than whatever the film designer would use for a robot mode. My taste in robots and the film designers taste in robots are just too different but Hasbro seems to just know what I like and don't like in a robot mode.

Given Bay's dislike of the Dinobots as stated by Bay himself - The Dinobots are likely being written in by Hasbro and Ehren Kruger (Who suggested Sentinel Prime instead of Ultra Magnus for TF;DOTM)
