The "tier 2" campaign reward is never worth it. A 3/4 Evo card that will forever be a glass cannon. You're better off going for the Ruby Raiders/Hard Boss than you are Tthe campaign reward.

    I have a noob question

what does it usually take to attempt tier 1 rewards? Do you really have to amass 900+ BC ?

and even so what deck power do you need heading in any event?

I am at 15k deck power with only 150 BC

im just wondering at what point I need to just save my resource and at what point I can attempt tier 1

    thanks

It really depends. In the extreme case, if you play for 20 hours a day and sleep for 4 or do other things like work/school, you can get T1 with 900 BC most likely. That'll depend on the T1 reward being a not so desirable card (i.e. a card a lot of people don't want for the character in question, the T1 reward is nearly always an improvement over the last T1 reward). When I was first playing around with this game I managed rank 168 with about 250 BC, so I theorized that it's possible with 500 and 20 hours of playtime, but if you're going that route I'd recommend over 800. You also aren't going to be able to finish any bosses you send out or get MVP, you'll need help from other players. Your deck power doesn't matter too much in that case. A big part of this strategy is having a good snipe range on bosses (so know your range!). You'll be constantly staring at your queue all day long to look for anything you can take down with 1 cube for some free points and rubies. Eventually you can get a deck almost entirely of x5 raiders- which is decent. The deck power of such a deck is way out of proportion on the mobage calculator, so be weary. It may say you have a 25k deck power with a full deck of x5 cards.. but it's more likely close to 20k. For example, my deck power right now is 20k, and I started the event near that. After replacing 2 of my cards in the soldier row with x5 raiders additional ones made no difference, and in some cases actually hurt me. They also make your snipe range very wide (causing you to fall short on some snipes and waste a cube).

The other route (99% of players use) is to get a lot more BCs and/or a stronger deck power to start with. The stronger your deck power (OR the more time you play per day), the less BCs you'll need. To be safe you want at least 1200-1500 cubes or a decent starting deck power over 17k with 900 cubes or so and a whole lot of playtime. Be careful about MVPing bosses early in events or be prepared to spend money for more cubes as you may run out (MVP gives you +50% points per boss if you didn't know). Accumulate enough points each day so that you are spawning and sending out the highest level boss available for that day. That assures that the next game day you'll be getting the new bosses to send out. A strong group of allies will help immensely, as well. Regardless of what strategy you choose, you must commit a whole ton of time to getting T1. Minimum of 8 hours playtime per day, most likely, without a monsterously powered deck (the x10 cards from the looping space bridge, for example).

This last episode I pulled 27 Misfire robot modes in a row, 8 from paid bridges, the rest from my stockpile of ruby medals. Never got an alt. mode for him. Halloween episode I got around 17 Hardhead robot modes before I got one alt. I think this game is just trying to tell me it's time to quit. :redface2:

I will say for the most part Magnammu is correct. I had DP (Deck Power) of 17K starting out and 1770 BC. I finished at Rank 16 with 57 Million points, NO BC left. I did accumulate enough resources (did do the pay bridge route) to get plenty of 5x Raiders and a 8X Wheeljack. That pushed my DP to 28K. I could have gotten just under the 100 Rank using a LOT less BC (probably 500 Less), but would have had to FIGHT to stay there. So essentially it depends on what you want to do.

    a) Just make it to top 100, fight last few hours to get and stay there, then 1000-1200 BC will be fine. Along with a few 5x Raiders from Rubys. All while playing for free. You will need to be on your device the last couple days playing and playing and playing to fight for that top 100.

    b) Sit comfy in top 100 (top 25 actually) and not have to worry about the last mad dash to the top 100, then you will need 1700 - 2000 or more, an 8x/9x/10x Raider and at least 5 other 5x Raiders. THis will require you spending $$ on bridges. BURN a TON of BC first couple days to build a 2 - 3 Million point lead over Rank 100, then just continue to burn and work through bosses the next couple days. THen you can just snipe or relax a bit the last day.

As I have said before, Free to Play players can get to top 100, its hard work farming resources before hand. Will likely take a months worth of Events to do so, but it can be done.

wow. much appreciate the in depth explanation, looks like I have ways to go before I ever can attempt a t1 finish.

by the way the strategy both of you imposed are for the recent event. what about the capture event? if I want to save resource do I just stay farming within the easy and normal difficult? I usually would like to at least get the x4 evo card on the hard difficult as a minimum reward

With the Campaign, if all you want is the EVO card, you can do this and still farm. Just keep playing the FIRST Hard level that gives the EVO card (usually Hard 5). Dont work up the levels after that. I have not completed a single campaign since the very first one. I can usually 1 cube the boss (usually Hard 5) for a shot at his EVO card. Just go back and do it again. You farm BC and Nets this way along with Rubys. Just ensure you use Energon chains on him at least 4 times to get 4 cards to Evolve, then just use nets the rest of the time for farming. Works great for me since I dont try to Rank on Campaigns.

interesting. so just keep looping Hard 5 (isnt there like 4-5 sub levels before reaching the boss) the last time I try to do this I notice after 1 or 2 sub levels within Hard 5, it stop giving out BC. Are you sure just repeating this stage would yield +BC (assuming I can 1 shot the evo boss)

You always get 1 BC for beating whatever boss you are up against. So use your hourly free recharges, and level up recharges to get BC. This works well. You can build, depending on how often you level up 20 + BC a day Minimum.

Yes keep looping Hard 5. Once you reach it you wont have to do Hard 1-4 again. Just loop Hard 5.

anyone know if you are suppose to place your deck in a certain way? I have always use the recommended function to yield the most power. Or is it more effective to choose your slots?

I finished like 5600 or so. T2 reward wouldn't have helped me at all so meh.

Broke my right hand Sunday (dominant hand) so playing is kind of tough lol. I keep hitting the wrong button. Almost 2 cubing things I can easily 1 cube. :'(

Strongest cards goes in commander slot (top 3 cards) ideally use R5..health and defense is better then going for high attack power..as for solders these can be replace by current X3 and would be better then R4. That's why you don't need to climb into 2nd every event. Farm and save your resource!!
How else do you think Megatron and them decepticons can come back every episode?!!

Some of the comments are hilarious. lol@ "rape bridge".

I like the idea of being able to get past event cards... I want Brainstorm and Overlord. But this seems like they're working it to be a huge chunk of change, and I doubt you can pick your rewards. Probably spend $80 going through the bridge over and over and get 2 alts lol

when you say strongest do you mean by total stats combined? attack/health/defense?

the rest of the slots, it is hard to replace what was recommended unless I throw in a top 5 weapon which is used in the commander slot.

unless i am suppose to ignore the deck power and simply find a more balance approach. Is it ever an idea to equipment every bot with their signature weapons at the expense of a lower deck power?

sorry for all of the rookie questions

I am not sure if there's a hard rule here, but I found I did consistently better in PvP with skylinx in commander with his Sig wep over bumblebee's, which the recommend button kept giving him.
