It was already done in TFP and it was a let down and terribly written so no. I like Unicron being an independent planet capable of destroying worlds.

but what if the "Dinobots" were once part of Unicron's Herald and they somehow managed to break free from Unicron's control...

Also what if KSI has created headmaster or Drone tech.. IE Black Zarack type Drones or maybe a Z Foundation.

I don't think it was much of a spoiler because I don't think it's any sort of conformation of Unicron.

Just look at how dangerous technology has made the world in the past century and how it's fueled the conflicts over resources. Now in the Transformers film world you've leapfrogged technology as every nation scrambles to get their hands on alien technology to give them an edge. If humans harnessed the atom to give them more destructive bombs just imagine what they might do once they got their hands on the weapons of a more advanced race that had been waging war since before humans stopped flinging their own poo?

That sounds intriguing.

 

And maybe some of this Cybertronian-based tech has been on earth longer than we knew? oooooh, exciting!

My guess is he means we have advanced so far that our technology could endanger the world. I'm guessing somebody has made their own Transformer on Earth.

 

Or science has been working on the idea of self replicating robots so if something like that ever got out of control we'd have invented our own version of the scraplets.
