After seeing you got this resolved, I'm glad I saw this after placing my order. Knock on wood I should get mine by the 12th, and if the quality is agreeable, I'll order SS and RA. Really *really* wish these were getting released in the US, so frustrating.
What makes you think there is a new mold for G2 Sideswipe? Unless you are referring to his new weapons Spelling was corrected with the KO TT release
I could beat down my mailman right now. I was supposed to receive RA today and it was listed as Out For Delivery ALL DAY so I waited patiently. Well, delivery time has come and gone and NOTHING. I check the status again and they tell me I have to head in to pick it up because the mailman got stupid and didn't deliver it. Ughhhh!!! If I were to get it today it would have been a 7 day turnaround from my order. Fast!!! But no I get the mailman that apparently can't find my house.
^ That shit just annoys me I have the same trouble with my local UPS deliveries because they take out business first and then residential later half the time the residential shipments wouldn't arrive until almost 6-7pm at night when the damn package status shows out for delivery since 5:30 am its partially the reason I created an account with UPS so I can just Directly pick up my parcels from the central hub in my town much better than having to wait all afternoon, but that's ups not USPS sadly... I just got my MP-12 KO today and wow what a quick turn around, I am really happy with the figure got the silver pile-drivers with him as well only paid $37 for him shipped. Now for my only cons about him, the shoulder cannon seems to not be straight on but at a slight angel don't know if that's just the mold or the shoulders on mine are slightly warped (nothing that affect the appearance of the figure) The other thing was that the wheels seem kinda well yeah... they don't really turn much but still that all being said I am still very happy with my purchase and the fact that a KO was this well done I was expecting the worse but got a nice piece instead.
Finally got my RA today after the post office debacle. The head guy had no idea why the guy didn't drop it off. It's amazing how great of shape the box came in compared to TRU shipping. Flawless. The initial examination I could give it is great as well. Included the pile drivers and the blue spark. I still need to transform it and give it a closer once over but the wife has me working on other things. Bugger it all. LoL
Bought a KO Sideswipe from eBay just to see what it's all about. $35 shipped. Took 3 weeks. Besides spelling of words and a slight over-paint on one of the shoulders (detail groves are almost completely filled with paint), it's spot on. Don't regret it for a second.
The wait for Sideswipe is killing me. I just got Bluestreak yesterday, so SS is the only MP Autobot I don't have.. I can't wait till that shelf is complete!
Well, I transformed RA and he's great with the exception of the right shoulder. It's glued tight on the black bracket and i can't lift the arm at all. I removed the wheel on the shoulder, and a screw but I still can't get it open to clean it out. Awesome little guy though.
I wish this KO company will make some more of these KO's in random colors, like Kold does with the KO Classics Optimus Primes. Those Blue one's look pretty awesome. If they made Blue or Green Sideswipes, I'd buy them. Sideswipe clone army !
Good point. Curious why we haven't seen any KO's in any other colors. I would assume the KOers would want to cash in while the mold is still fresh in peoples hands.
I know I'd buy a whole bunch of them. He would look pretty slick in Metallic Royal Blue, or Kelly Green, Metallic Purple... Even white... I think they's sell pretty well... I'm a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan, so I might paint my extra RA in Eagles Green, with Black, white and grey accents.. Maybe put the logo on the hood if I can find a decent decal somewhere...
I'd like to see them do other characters. G1 Breakdown for example. Heck, let's go G2 Breakdown as well. Clamdown and Deepcover? Yes please. The KO makers are the perfect one's to do this since we know Tomy never will. They'd sell 4 to me if they'd just make the ones I just suggested.
Just got my KO Sideswipe today, the spoiler not clipping in vehicle mode is really annoying but not "I should have spent £40 more" bad. Minor paint chippings, shoulder cannon feels a little loose and his rifle doesn't stay in his hand too well either but surprisingly his joints are all solid. I'd recommend his for the £20 price on ebay, why pay triple the price for more or less the same figure? It's a shame Hasbro doesn't release these figures as voyager figures as they're about the same size and quality, maybe slightly more detail though.
Got mine today and am quite happy!!! The only thing that slightly (very slightly) is the misspelled countach but not that big a deal. looks awesome next to Optimus, Grimlock and Hot Rod. Now on to Prowl and Bluestreak and to transform KO Red Alert
I wish I could buy just a KO head for my real MP-12. It just looks so much more like Sideswipe to me. (Sideswipe is my fave Autobot by a huge margin, so to own one with an inferior face that cost more is pretty annoying)
Supposedly you can slide out the faceplate with a screwdriver pretty easily to swap them. I would love to do this, but am too afraid to try. Check the radicons if you're braver than I. For now, the KO is my SS. Real guy sits in a box.
Hmmn, I've not heard of that before---I've been trying to disassemble the head to paint the eyes a brighter blue, but it really seems you have to completely disassemble the entire top half of the figure to get access, and I'm not willing to mess up the paint to do so. Though really, I like the entire head of the KO better, not just the face.

Breakdown would only work if the robot mode was different. But Clamp Down and Deep Cover? Those are the only reason I've been getting these KOs. Having a KO as a stand-in for an official release? Not in my collection.
We are all calling these KO's but I don't think it is that simple. These things are spot on exact duplicate to the real thing. There are minor issues but they are more along the lines of QC problems than mold differences. It seems more likely that these are being made in the same factory during a night shift or maybe a set of molds have been stolen. In this case the KO's are more like the real thing with a bit less scrutiny for QC. I have all the KO's and their matching official counterparts and there is very little difference. The primary differences are 1) The pin in the head of the lambor mold is not perfect leaving a slight seam 2) The tolerance on the weapon pegs is bad making them loose. With my Alert it is the case that the KO has a better paint finish and QC to my official. I hope they keep coming with all new MP figures.
