I would like to know how the New Institute fit in to all this. What and who are involved with Shadowplay and the New Institute?

That toally put a dent in my conspiracy theory. However i assumed it was just because he was going into battle as he barely (didn't?) transform in MTMTE # 7 :D

I thought Tarn was agent 113 or C113 who is Kup.

Uses a shell, burned out parts that need replacement, tough as nails, dedicated to the cause.

I do hope the original Ultra Magnus is still out there. The story of Minimus Ambus was good, but the world needs Ultra Magnus.

When did Skids remember and express hatred for Misfire. I'm obviously not reading these nearly as carefully as I should.

Skids remembers everything that doesn't have to do with his work in the "Diplomatic Corps" or his repressed memories. He remembers most of the crew of the Lost Light from before that and it wouldn't be too big of a stretch to think that he had some kind of run in with Misfire before he was enlisted by Prowl. Or Misfire has something to do with his repressed memories.

...or he just pulled that name out as a joke, since as one of the others pointed out, his nemesis is the Decepticon least likely to ever hit him in a firefight. IOW, it'd be a nemesis he has little reason to fear.

Lot of questions will be answer when in season 2 Misfire and Skids met. Roberts never do anything random when it comes to details. I am betting later statement with TF14.

Heh. Toonimator I wonder Skids considers Misfire aim is a nemesis because they were on the same team once before. Misfire aim least dangerous thing about him. I think he is more a dangerous because he attracts Danger like a magnet.

Misfire can breeze through life without realizing he is putting people in difficult situations because he has no concept what is dangerous and what is safe. That is how I read when that page Galactic Space Station 113 when he was chased to scaffold or delay because he got the munchies. I am still kind of curious how Misfire wind up on Death Row but Galactic Council.

I've thought about the whole "Tarn being Roller" thing as well. There's definitely some evidence for it...

Thing is, Roberts is crafty is fuck. This is the guy who wanted Senator Shockwave colored in an Ultra Magnus-y color scheme just to throw people off.

    So who knows.

I think the Skids and Misfire paring is brilliant.

Skids is an uber-learner and theoretician. Misfire is utterly random. Seems like a good yin-yang paring to me.

I don't think this is necessarily true but man. Punch is an Autobot agent in deep cover with the decepticons having nervous breakdowns and possibly losing track of who he works for? Roberts could have a field day with him!

I barely pay attention to the new series, I just don't like this version, but reading around the wiki and all I would say the most likely odds for a mole are "The Pet" or Vos.

Vos barely speaks understandably so he wouldn't have to worry about keeping character. His face is a removable mask so expression is much less likely to give anything away. He's the least hands on of the DJD and his preferred torture may be gruesome to humans but it could easily be one of the least torturous for a robot, plus it would probably mute the victims cries and hide the wounds as they were made. His altmode would easily cause a fairly quick and painless death, would guarantee he got the chance to shoot a message to the other side and potentially fake deaths as well.

Yet people still think it was the Necrobot at the end of the Scavenger's arc, and totally believe it's list is a list of dead robots, even though not a single thing about that makes sense. Even TFWiki wholeheartedly believes it's the Necrobot and treats it as fact.

Yeah, you haven't read the comics.

Vos' face isn't a mask, it is his face. He may not have a mouth, but he can emote just fine when it's on. And yeah, it's pretty extreme torture, because his face is filled with drills and spikes, and it basically just, heh, defaces his victims. Krok was only spared the pain because Misfire shot him unconcious by accident. It definitely does not hide it's wounds. Plus, he speaks perfectly understandably, just not in neo-cybex. As far as we can tell, Tarn and probably all of the DJD can understand him perfectly.

Also, the DJD are rarely deployed against Autobots. So I don't know who on "the other side" he'd be shooting, considering he's only ever aimed at fellow Decepticons.

Also, the pet is a sparkeating turbofox. It's about as intelligent as a dog. That could be a good cover, but it'd also be a really lame reveal.

according to what I read on the wiki the mole delivers his messages by firing right into an Autobot symbol. Since he's a member of the DJD the DJD must spend some time fighting Autobots. Though that does eliminate the Pet come to think of it.

If the other members of the DJD could understand Vos then Tarn wouldn't need to translate. And Vos also puts those torture devices on his own face.

Tarn doesn't translate. He just responds, but doesn't repeat was Vos says. He just answers normally.

And Vos is, obviously, designed to hold his own torture face. When he takes it off, his not-face is smooth, possibly even flat or concave. Or maybe it's like a giant liquid-like pin cushion. Regardless, we see him with it off, we see him put it back on.

EDIT: Checking the art, his head is deffinitely concave, with a curved line showing it bend opposite the direction his head is turned.
