Definitely the nicest build proportions I've seen on any of the many custom Metroplexes of late. Awesome job! :thumb

I'm keeping an eye on your project. It looks great. I think I will use your ideas for my personal project. I love the proportions a lot! Do you plan on doing something different to the head?Hurry up and paint this thing already lol.

Everyone thanks very much for your comments. Zed, unfortunately I just don't have the time to finish this custom because it is a much larger project and I need to wrap up commissions. I wouldn't be able to finish it for quite a few months so I decided to auction it off on eBay where it is now. Whoever wins it can then paint him themselves :)

Don't be disappointed though I have a Titan Metroplex that I will paint up one of these days.

I already love it. If the city mode is any good at all it will overall blow away the Generations version, especially with your paint work.

Thanks guys. He is pretty bulky in a good way and is quite large too. He measures at about 16.5 inches tall.

I'm looking at your pics for your eBay auction and I'm trying to figure out what types of ball joints you used. Where do you order them from? sweet build. I'm working on one now. Very inspirational and looks pretty easy to execute.
    Thanks Zed

Im actually thinking about doing a dual (Ft.Max & Metroplex) robot mode transformation trying to retain as much functionality as the G1 FM & MP since both G1 versions shared the same base design in all modes. The idea was to have Metroplex in the short mode (throwback to G1 toy) then go into super battle mode making the body taller (by nature of the toy design). there you have Metroplex standing there in white and black deco. then turn him around and reveal the "other" head and Boom!......you have Ft.Max by having the back side of Metroplex in Ft.Max deco. Brilliant!! Call him "Ft. Plex", or "Metromax". whatever. you get the point i hope.
What are your thoughts? I'm using your awesome work here to draw inspiration from.
    Outstanding job!

The ball joint I used was from a larger gundam figure. I used the outer cup as well and basically ported the neck area to fit the cup and then the base that goes into the chest just needs to be set with epoxie. I usually get any ballpoints I use for customs from spare TF figures, not sure where you would buy some.

Thanks a lot Zed. Your double character figure sounds awesome. I'd like to see that definitely. PM me if you need more info.
