For a long time I always wanted to take the 1980's most popular vehicles that were enjoyed as a child for me and I am sure a lot of old school transformers fans and turn them into transformers, Hence project 80. The story follows already existing transformers that have to go back in time to stop a lone human from ever creating a disease than destroys the spark of all transformers in the future creating essentially a Zombie army of metal beasts. I will post WIP as I do them and all crits and comments are welcome. A golden concept for sure. Now if someone would just retool the IGear van into a B.A. toy, life will be complete. May I also submit K.I.T.T as Tracks Goliath as Motormaster K.A.R.R. as Wildrider MysteryMachine as Beachcomber (Ironhide retool?) Do Ecto-1 as Ratchet, thing's tecnically an ambulance conversion.
Haha! Thats awesome! Cant wait to see more. I find it ironic that the 80's gave us some of the most iconic fictional vehicles but in reality was the ugliest and most boring time for generic family vehicles. I'm looking at you 80's mini-vans and station wagons! Hey, what about the gadget mobile? That thing would be a triple changer!
Herbie as Tailgate would be fun. Innocent and dim witted. Though that car was around before the 80's. Maybe call it Project Retro.
I love the Concept Ecto 1 should be Outback. Just because I could imaging his Steve Irwin Crocodile hunter personality with Ironhide taking on B.A. Baracus personality. It would be like Murdock and B.A. allover again.
I think that Trigger oR Condorman's condor mobile should be Hottod, if you add in the "gypsy truck" mode it's even like Rodimus Prime! sideswipe should be Tom Selick's Ferrari from Hawaii Five-O. That way he and dukes of hazard Sunstreaker can have killer mustaches.
Tom Selleck was in Magnum PI not Hawaii Five-O.. but he did drive a really nice Ferrari ^__^ Also, none of the Dukes of Hazzard had mustaches... in fact the only mustache in the show I can think of was part of Uncle Jessie's beard... Arcee as Daisy Duke's jeep maybe?
Fun game! How about Brawn as the Turtle Van...because...uhm...green and yellow. And while I get Beachcomber as the Mystery Machine because of the hippie overlap, maybe Perceptor would be a better choice because of deductive reasoning? (I'm thinking early Scooby, when, you know, they actually debunked supernatural things. Oh, how far the gang lost its way...) And if I can offer a couple more revisions, Wheeljack might be a better A-Team member because there's always that bit when they have the mechanic montage...and Kup might make a better Delorean because he can probably remember being around whatever historic event they travel back to. Heck, his past-self could probably lend his time-traveling self a hand every now and then.
