A bit of an expalation is nessesary... You see, there's this site called The Agony Booth (the name comes from the Star Trek episode MIRROR, MIRROR), which contains long, yet humorous, reviews of some of the worst films ever made. It's a good site; go ahead and look around a bit. In any case, they utilize a list of "repeat offenders". To be included on this list, at least two films involving a given person must have been reviewed. Guess who showed up at #32. http://www.agonybooth.com/extras/offenders.asp
a tad unfair since his voice work didn't make or break Godzilla or Anaconda. though its a comfort to know he's not as bad as Frank Stallone.
That website is AWESOME. And I HAVE to get my hands on a copy of this: http://www.agonybooth.com/mr_t/
I downloaded a copy of that once off a torrent site. It was dreadful. I couldn't watch but maybe 2 minutes total and all I did was skip around. The songs were awful and the skits leading up to them were CRAP. I pity the fool who pays money for that video!
http://www.broszkowski.com/tv/mrtbesomebody/mrtbesomebody.htm There you go. I'm downloading it right now, so I've no idea what the quality is like.
Downloading? Fuck that. I have the original VHS. Got it SEALED on ebay for two bucks. And Frank Welker has been in EVERYTHING, bad and good.
Dude, "Be Somebody or Be Somebody's Fool" is a pillar of drunk nights at my place. Thank you, Xena and Zena! Have some pickles, or, uh, relish, I think this is, how 'bout it Bobby?
Anyone notice another familiar name on that list, right after Frank Welker? Roger C. Carmel, the voice of Cyclonus, Motormaster, and others.
Never mind this, the site shows a version of Alexander the Great with Adam West and The Shat. Where can I get a copy of this awesome sounding spectacle?
I watched half of that thing in pieces on youtube. It helped in the creation of the Milk Daddy character -immensely-.
Dude, I actually played this at my old job! I was a staff trainer for call centers for BofA, and during one of my classes, my assistant brought in this video, and we spent 2 hours of our life watching it. It has to be one of the funniest damn things ever, but you can only stand a few minutes at a time. It's Zena and Xena, from San Bernadina. And T's rap about respecting your momma? Classic... Mutha... There is no otha... like Mutha...
Which is EXACTLY why I want it; I want to drop Mr T rapping absolute bollocks into a hardcore techno track. I HAVE TO FIND THIS!
You don't like that?! That's.... ABSOLUDICROUS!! SEriously i can't stop laughing at that video, it rules... I have it Draven, but my copy is fucked... ihave the original tape (!!!), but won't play it till i get a digital copy. I had a copy burned to DVD, but that got scratched.
Well, it was appartently a failed TV pilot, so I'd imagine it'd be rather difficult to find. Albert mentions that his copy was rather poor in quality... A few other sections that may be of interest: http://www.agonybooth.com/agonizer/ The Agonizer. Shorter reviews on a variety of subjects. Take note of the review of THE ISLAND: there's a section that goes over Michael Bay's commentary for the film, and that allows us a bit of a glimpse into the mind of the man who's directing our beloved Transformers. http://www.agonybooth.com/extras/trek/ The Worst of Trek. Star Trek specific reviews from all series (including the animated one) http://www.agonybooth.com/extras/mr_t/ Mr. T: the Animated Series. Yes, they made one. The notion is ridiculous, and so is the execution. Seems like it's worth tracking down, though...
