I like the movies, top 5 fave.

G1 is seriously overrated.

Unicron Trilogy is fine great.

I like Skids and Mudflap.

I want a TF/MLP crossover.

I want more diverse generations figures, all the G1/IDW is boring.

Movie Wreckers are best Wreckers.

I like  .

The cars are cool in TF4.

I love Rescue Bots.

I hate the Joe/TF xover things.

Ditto for x-files.

And turtles.

One more unpopular opinion...Don't Robots Love?

I'm not saying we full on need robot-on-robot steamy action, but still. We've established that the Transformers are living beings capable of emotion and feeling. Wouldn't it make sense that they could love one another? The fiction has dabbled in it slightly before (cough cough Blackarachnia and Silverbolt), but I suppose through fear (it does sound silly at first) they never fully explore it. Which makes no sense... if humans can't just stop loving someone, why can Cybertronians "turn off" their emotions? Is it because they can't kiss or have sex? Well, Chief and Cortana in Halo 4 couldn't either, but you could still feel their love and passion for each other without them ever explicitly stating it.

I've wanted to see them do something similar to that in Transformers, where an Autobot develops feelings for a human. But because this isn't Japanese-Fucked-Up-Kiss-Players-Bullshit, he realizes the truth that he's a giant robot and she's a human girl. Although he accepts inevitability, he's hurt by it, since he knows he can't immediately stop feeling that way, and through that emotional turmoil he grows as a character. THAT kind of shit would be just odd and fucked up enough for me to love!

Speaking of robot-human interactions, can't humans hold grudges against robots, and vice versa? That kind of stuff would be changing so much by tweaking a small detail, and yet they never do it. One, it helps the audience view robots as characters (face it guys, mainstream audiences are gonna keep seeing Cybertronians as CGI Junkpiles in films unless something is done), since the humans that they likely connect with better view them as people. Two, it furthers conflicts and takes them to personal levels, allowing the audience to further become entranced in the story. Three, it allows them a chance to do something epic-Imagine a human is best friends with an Autobot. The human and Autobot battle a Decepticon, who kills the Autobot and leaves. The human, at the dying side of the Autobot, shares brief, fleeting, emotional dialogue so the audience understands the gravity of what's just happened-something like this:

Human: Dude! Uh...Fuck...
Autobot: Yeah dude, fuck.
Human: Oh god, you're dying really hard, bro...
Autobot: Yeah, we've established that. Look, just promise me you'll (insert something mentioned between the characters earlier that'd be sad).
Human: Sure. Oh, and if I ever see that Decepticon, I'll really kill the fuck out of him.
Autobot: Thanks, bro (dies)

Elita-1's deco in TFA where it was yellow is so much better than the G1 pink.

 

It's not a strictly Transformers thing but I find the hard core movie fans and the Unicron trilogy fans to be much more annoying and much much MUCH worse than geewunners.

 

Strangely enough, I can agree with that.

 

And i disagree. I feel like the geewunners are like the old timey veterans who dwell on th escapades of their youth and wont let go of their precious war.

 

I agree.   It helps make her stand out and not look like a G1 Arcee twin. Hope we see more of that if she appears in a future series.

 

I think they're equally annoying, to be honest.

Why yes decide that the whole run is bad based on two really subpar issues that were shat out in no time because Hasbro demanded to have toy tie-ins, that's the right way to go!

Another thing that I hate. The knee-jerk hate.

I almost finished 3/4 Energon before I decided it's utter shit, and yet people watch a single episode/read a single issue of something and they instantly think that they know everything about it. Ever worse are the one who don't even try and just hate it because it's cool to hate on G1 or Animated or whatever.

G1 ended years ago, move on.

 

On the other hand the die hard UT/Movie fans are like the kids that only ever listed to Justin Bieber and think he's the greatest thing ever while constantly shitting over everything that came before it and everyone who likes older stuff no matter of the quality.

Yeah I'd rather take a annoying Metallica fan who keeps bitching about how metal is shit now over a Bieber fanboy who shits all over AC/DC.

Just because you like it, it doesn't make it good, just like how just because you don't like it, it doesn't make it bad. That goes for EVERYONE.

The only thing stopping the hardcore UT fans from being just as bad as the angry movie fans that will attack you if dare imply that Bay isn't god is the simple fact that they lack numbers.

I don't have anything against UT or the movies. Heck Cybertron was my first TF series, and the hype for the '07 movie is what made me dig into the TF lore but the the blind nostalgia (and Bay worship but that's another story) I keep constantly seeing from people who at the same time cry out "geewuuuun" and call them out on being "too nostalgic" is just making my hypocritical-bullshit levels go sky-high.

I thought the first one was good as well. If Megatron didn't die, I think it would have been set up the rest of the series by keeping his intimidation factor he had in the first.
